Sure. Just not the entire nation. There are quite a few “hate filled” regional rivalries across the country that are just like the egg bowl.

WLOCP and it ain't even close. Just too bad the monied elite at both UF and UGA think it beneath them to any longer rub shoulders with the common folk. They want the game on campus because they can better control who actually gets into the stadium on game day.

I don't know, the fact that Auburn has managed to keep their record against Bama respectable under Saban (through 5 different head coaches of their own) shows that the Iron Bowl still has juice.
Hell, Auburn could have beaten them last year.

I mean it’s usually a good game and I enjoy watching it but I don’t feel the hate between the 2 teams like I do others

If Ole Miss and Miss State played with the hate and passion of the Egg Bowl vs other teams we would both get an extra win every year.

I’m an LSU grad, and I live in Mississippi, but the Egg Bowl is very entertaining. In terms of intensity of feeling, yeah, it’s probably in the top 5. For entertainment value, definitely in the top 5; in terms of significance to the overall college football landscape, not so much.
