See you in 4 years when he gets fired for not living up to y’all’s expectations
Lane did take a harder path

He probably could’ve gotten a statue at Ole Miss and now he’ll probably be fired from LSU within 5 years
Or you know, times change and it’s no longer the easier path that also pays more like it was 30 years ago
Disagree, there were estimates it would have cost ~$600 M to buy out of that contract - the ACC wouldn’t actually provide a number until they were sued

After them and Clemson sued, it dropped down to like $100 M and it goes down to like $30 M in 2030 or something
Was he wrong though? FSU won 3 natties after joining the ACC, times change
It’s at least directional

You’ve met / worked with a handful of Emory grads so the entire university is shite?
I saw the other angles where he punched the wrong kid, but is there any more context here?

Why is that LSU couple in the student section? Were they starting shite before this? Why are 100+ Ole Miss fans making such a big deal of 2 people leaving?
USC is a blue blood, either the #1 or #2 program for west coast kids and it looks like they finally started to use all that LA money for NIL after the 26 class so that should help them fend off Oregon

FSU at #10 is high, but it’s not like it’s a shite job. The coach hasn’t been fired yet because he gets paid so much that it’s too costly to do so…. Sounds like a good job to me
I bet you thought this was really clever
His record as a head coach is 50-25…?

For the poors:

“I'm stunned. I really didn't think Door No. 3 was a serious option.

My guess is Kiffin said he hasn't made a decision and Ole Miss feels it doesn't have the goods to legally suspend him.

Unless damn near everyone is lying, he's going to be LSU's next coach and will be in Baton Rouge at some point next wekeend. I know a lot more there than I can report. Kiffin's deal was discussed in the Board of Supervisors meeting and the Kiffins have been looking at real estate in the Baton Rouge area. There's more, but I need to protect sources who have been nothing but good to me.

I can tell you the SEC Network crew in Baton Rouge for tomorrow's WKU-LSU game all believe Kiffin is LSU's coach. The number on the deal is somewhere between $14-15 million per year.

Logic tells you that if Kiffin were even thinking of staying, the last week wouldn't have happened. And I'm so sick of "Well, Lane's differfent..." Shut up. That's stupid. Occam's Razor is a real thing.

Might he stay? I mean, I guess, but the damage that's been done is real.

This is real risk on Ole Miss' part. Incredible risk. A loss to MSU on Friday, followed by Kiffin's departure for a bitter rival the next day, is deadly to CFP chances. They have to know that.

And if you're saying an announcement is coming on a given day, you already know the announcement.

If I'm right, a guy who is going to be LSU's next coach is going to coach Ole Miss' biggest regular season game with a spot in the CFP on the line. Incredible.”
UF fans will never admit it, but they hate FSU because they won a natty before them despite all their institutional advantages

They often try to deflect and belittle FSU (as is seen in this thread) because they are insecure

Then there’s Miami whom both FSU and UF hate

The Canes are desperately clinging onto the past for dear life, did you know they haven’t earned a conference title since 2003?

The B1G is considered "snobby" due to the large majority of their members being AAU

Message board rumors are that it is still a requirement to join despite Nebraska losing the designation shortly after joining
quote:

If it didn’t matter, Clemson and FSU would have been in the either league prior to signing a new deal.

Up until recently, they were thought to be trapped in the ACC until 2036 to due the GOR

Due to their lawsuits which were recently settled, it is highly likely that they now end up in one of the SEC or B1G in the next go around
Arguments about having a presence in a state already or bringing cable boxes are outdated

It’s all about how many views a new brand will bring versus the other big brands in CFB

That means it’s ND, FSU, Clem and then the rest, in that order

ND has no reason to join a conference until they are forced to (when the SEC and B1G break away in the next decade) which leaves FSU and Clem as the top 2
