I'll always argue that in-state rivalries are more intense than out-of-state rivalries.

As a Georgia fan I only wish that were true. Frankly, I miss Georgia Tech being the biggest game of the year for the Dawgs. Back home the few scattered Auburn alums just aren't as much fun to frick with.

I don't think OSU and Michigan is anywhere close to the rivalry of Mississippi

Texas Oklahoma is a farce of college football

Play the game home and home like real teams
Damn. Ok then. Someone's upset their rivalries are overshadowed by the Red River

Have fun telling Army-Navy and Florida-Georgia that their games are a "farce". Or college gameday for that matter since it's been to the cotton bowl for Texas-OU like 8 different times.

Sorry that you, as a Kentucky fan, have to go through life with zero teams on the schedule considering Kentucky as their biggest game of the season

Yep, gonna be a sad day for CFB if the RRS ever leaves the Cotton Bowl.

The Red River Wokefest isnt even close to a most watched game

Ohio State - Michigan has more than twice the viewership of whatever that is

They play in home stadiums on campus with hundreds of thousands of people in the game and tailgaiting outside with standard uniforms with 100 year old traditions

None of this happens at a neutral site

I'm definitely not putting this in the top 5 of ALL of college football, but it's still a pretty unique and storied rivalry:

The Battle of the Ravine is a college rivalry game played annually by Henderson State University and Ouachita Baptist University. Dating back to 1895, the football rivalry game is tied for the oldest rivalry game in NCAA Division II, alongside the Black Hills Brawl. It is the 5th oldest rivalry in all of collegiate sports.

It is a unique rivalry in that the two schools are across the street from each other and the visiting team walks from their own locker room to the other team's stadium. The series has never been lopsided throughout the years and remains nearly even, despite either team clearly being better than the other in any given season. Ouachita Baptist currently leads the series 46-43-6

I think these best rivalry arguments are stupid. The biggest rivalry is the one you care most about. For me it will always be tx-ou and tx-a&m (yes they are a rival. A very important one for us).
But I'm not going to tell an Ole Miss fan that our rivalry is more important than theirs when they care about ours about as much as I care about theirs which is not a goddamn bit

OU vs. Texas perhaps prior to 2009. Lately it’s not as exciting.

Lol you’re a kentucky fan. You wouldn’t know a most watched football game if it bit you in the arse. And you’d also be very wrong on that. Texas OU is constantly one of the most watched games.

Would they now? Willing to make a bet on that? And like that’s even a fair comparison considering Texas and ou were both unranked (for the first time in 24 years) while Ohio state and Michigan are 11-0.

Still - I’ll be happy to take your money if you’d like to put your money where your mouth is

thanks for admitting you know nothing about the game, dumbass. The cotton bowl has the Texas state fair going on right outside of it, and the cotton bowl is split 50-50 with 92,000 people. It’s also been played there since the 30s, which would mean that’s been the setting for just under 100 years (it’s been played 118 times overall with the first few being home and home *GASP*). It’s one of the highest attended rivalry games each season.

So much fail in your post No wonder the Kentucky academic reputation is such a joke

I had to literally look up who won this year. When was the last time this game was relevant to either, much less both teams? It is no bigger than Florida St vs Miami these days.

Sad what's happened to UF/FSU. Both teams were ranked in the top 10 in late November 13 meetings in a row (1990-2000, including 2 bowls) but it's only happened once since then (2012).

You're right. Rivalry implies competitiveness, and the rebs sure didn't care enough to show up to the game this year.
