I kept waiting to see these antics I've been hearing so much about. Everyone tells me I'm supposed to hate this guy. But anytime they show him on TV he's just watching the game

I don't get it

He's a douche.

He was a fairly well behaved douche during the CWS.

Vitello toned it down this year. The man is the best coach in college baseball. Tennessee got a gem. Texas got a PoS with zero integrity.

Vitello will win many championships at Tennessee. He’s still young.

We like Vitello just fine. He's a good coach. We just don't like Serraneaux.

He's really toned it down the last two seasons, it seems to have really helped his teams as well.

The early teams operated solely on emotion so when something didn't go their way, it could really spiral out of control.

The 2023 and 2024 teams were much more poised, they also advanced the furthest of his teams despite 2022 likely being more talented overall.

He’s a self admitted hot head. It’s not hard to understand.

The only antic that I can recall from the CWS was the little tantrum he threw on the balk call in the first game vs FSU in the top of the 9th before Tennessee walked it off in bottom of the 9th.

I'd love to see him return to Arkansas when DVH retires.

It would be one thing if this was merely coming from LSU fans. When national media picks up on it, you know you have an issue.

Vitello is a petulant child who wins a lot of games.

Just live with it.

I have no real problem with the guy. He has mouthed off a bit in the past, but seems like he learned from it. He's very good at his job, and I suspect that pisses people off more than anything.

The last 2 years the umps have done a good job of reigning him in. They've made it clear that if he gets fresh, he gets tossed.

That's the beautiful thing about discipline. It doesn't matter if it's accepted willingly or beaten into someone, it's just as effective.

He should be there every handful of years for a 3 game series.

Can we add Little Dick Rick to this?

So you haven't heard about how he encourages players throwing bats, helmets, and flipping off the other team's outfielders while rounding the bases to celebrate?

Haven't heard about how he got in DVH's face and yelled at him (with his mask on for safety) cause he couldn't handle a loss and some recruiting competition?

Haven't heard about how he got suspended for chest bumping an ump in anger? (big scary tough guy Tony)

Haven't heard how basically every time he gets suspended, instead of apologizing, he makes fun of it by doing something ironic like selling chest bumps to UT students?

Haven't heard about him facilitating the douchiest homerun celebration on Earth in a "daddy hat" and fur coat?

Yeh, definitely just a whole lot of smoke and no fire around TV.
