re: Gordon - "BK was fired because it was damaging the LSU Brand"

Gordon needs to stay in his lane.
He is. He pays our players, which means he gets a bigger say. Thats the way things work now
Depends on public vs private. I try for 5 year olds, culls and love shooting does, hogs and turkeys for the freezer. I’ve ground checked my fair share of young bucks and now I just prefer watching them. If you’re a bowhunter I feel like you have to kill a handful of smaller bucks before you can expect to be successful on a really big deer.

If I stick out my neck and give a vendor $100 million guaranteed contract and he fails, my boss (the CEO) better fire me. If the CEO doesn’t step down, the board will demand him be removed. No difference here. LSU is a state school. People should be praising Landry for demanding answers.

What? He was drafted 40th overall. How is that overlooked?

Vegas opened at like 6.5 and worked down to 4 or so. PFF had us at 3.8 wins which was lowest in the NFL

re: What's your logical Saban take?

Coaches like Saban never want to stop competing. He ran out of “why” at bama. He set them up for long term success as he was losing interest.
His history with LSU and LSU’s inherent potential may offer him the “why” he needs to give it one last run.

He’s more of a bandaid
They should give blue states 100% of their snap benefits back and put it to zero in red states

As long as service members continue to get their check
Yea just because you’re in the midst of a shitty rebuild doesn’t mean all is forgiven and you’ll be celebrated immediately. Most people are still giving KM the benefit of the doubt but the organization will still catch criticism when they lose. Thats how life works. It’s amazing this surprises you
We have also been in a coffee craze the past decade and still growing. Demand ain’t slowing down anytime soon

The entire team gave up on BK. Defense showed very low effort. I expect them to step up

re: Ed O screwed this program
Posted by High Life on 11/1/25 at 1:32 pm to KwoodTiger
He went through a mass exodus after the championship and a global pandemic. He made the wrong hires. It is what it is. But he was excellent all throughout he first few years. Not only were his teams talented but they were also well disciplined and played together. He also managed the games on the sidelines well.
He wouldn’t win shite here at his age. Different game nowadays
Apples to oranges. The value of the lsu football program and AD is more than just revenue on a spreadsheet. The success of the brand impacts the entire university, state and the local BR economy. It takes way more than just a simple google search to calculate the value of these decisions. LSU can’t “afford” for the football team to be bad. Louisiana can’t afford to let the LSU brand fall off.
That’s why all the fools on here saying we can’t afford this buyout or that Coach are clueless. Or LSU football “made x amount this year”. It’s all bullshite. You think we can’t afford a top coach? Think again, we can’t afford not to find the best coach available.

re: Scott Woodward is one of the worst AD’s we’ve ever had

I’m sure there are other reasons to hate on Woody but I don’t hold the Kelly hire against him. He hired a big fish and it didn’t work out. The contract was too much but no one was complaining at the time. I wanted him fired earlier but ultimately Kelly was let go at a reasonable time. On to the next

False. He wanted to get away from sticky Mickey.
He’s nothing special
