It's up to OU, maybe Ohio State to dethrone the Tide, two teams that always give the Tide fits.

It takes a blue blood to beat another, and clearly no SEC team is capable of beating Alabama so it'll require out of conference help. Clemson is not a blue blood.

Tubberville was probably one of the laziest head coaches in the SEC.....Alabama wadded thru bad coaches and came up with Saban and they had to pay him off according to his contract.

Stallings had one team, but he wasn’t dominant. Alabama fielded good teams....they were not dominant. And when Saban leaves, it will be worse than when Bear left. Cause he’s better. You guys will fire coach after coach and it will be a dumpster fire for years.

The rest of the sec will party like its 1999
Sweet. Bama won the SEC that year.

Let’s revisit that comment:
2014 Clemson 40 Oklahoma 6
2015 Clemson 37 Oklahoma 17
2016 Clemson 33 Ohio State 0

So much for the so called Blue Bloods.
Anyone but a moron knows that Clemson is the only team in the country capable of beating Bama this year. Sorry arse OU fans just can’t admit truth.

Gus deserves another 7yr/$49mm guaranteed contract, don’t you think? Lord knows you Aubs are riding those two stellar wins last season like a fricking badge of honor. There’s nothing like the GusBus!

Bama has had two dominant coaches.

Wrong.

Wallace Wade went 61-13-3, had two undefeated and untied seasons, and took his team to the Rose Bowl three times.

Frank Thomas went 115-24-7, had two undefeated and untied seasons, and took his team to the Rose Bowl three times.

Alabama was dominant in the 20s and 30s. They fell off slightly in the 40s before sucking it up in the 50s. Alabama was still a Top 10-15 program for much of the 80s and 90s despite the fall off in production after Bryant retired.

Alabama had three Top 5 finishes under Stallings. Aside from his national championship season in 1992, his teams finished 11-1 in 1991 and 12-1 in 1994.

His run from 1991-1994 is what I would consider dominant. Probation and his growing discontent for the administration led to apathy and his eventual resignation from the job at the end of the '96 season. If Langham never signs his name to a cocktail napkin in New Orleans it's a good possibility our run under Stallings continues for at least a few more years.

Everybody remembers the 92 team. Remember that team that lost the second game of the season? I do. It was 1991 and their only loss. A playoff team if played under today's postseason format. Remember that year Stallings lost by one point in the SECC to that pesky ole SOS? I do. It was 1994. Another playoff team under today's conditions. That's 3 teams in 4 seasons that would have been in the CFP if using today's format. Sort of like Clemson's current run. Lots of people think that's dominant.

I usually like people that make good BBQ. But in Tubs case, I'll take an exception. Did he ever pay back all those retirees' money he and his ponzi-scheming ins buddy stole?

He got his tail whipped when we weren't playing with one hand tied behind our backs. 31-7 and 36-0.

Someone please tell me how the same two teams playing for the title 4 years in a row is good for college football.

Attitudes like this is why they hand out participation trophies in kid's sports. I remember when it meant something to dominate your opponent and win, but now all we hear is these whiny arse libtard, like this out of work Barner, who thinks that because someone else is better than they are it is unfair. He truly does exemplify the wingnut.

Programs aren’t willing to do what it takes to win except a few. Hiring a DL coach with a previous tank job as a head coach. Also has a seedy past and snaked his way to the job. Speaks Cajun. LSU

Hiring an innovative High School coach and never relinquishing control. Panic b/c they got played by an agent. Stuck with him for foreseeable future. AU

Letting a former fired head coach be involved in the program so much as to let him pull the strings on the following hires. Tennessee

Trying to be a B12 offensive juggernaut when your history is being a tough defensive minded team. aTm. Jimbo may fix this but who knows.

Your source of pride is trying to have the first openly gay player drafted. Your claim to fame is a bunch of bulldagga SJWs. Mizzou

USC is trying
UK is trying

UF is trying but I think the weed is too strong in G’ville

UGA is doing it right

MSU is trying but has some roadblocks.

OM tried too hard. Flew too close to the sun.

Vandy is Vandy

Arky danced with the devil who got in a motorcycle wreck. Had a crazy man as interim, Then hired a fraud from the B1G. Now has a tractor salesman.

How can you say Saban ha taken the fun out of it. Looks like the schools who don’t take their #1 or #2 revenue generating, enthusiasm generating sport seriously enough to invest is the problem.
