I remember when the blind sheep said for other sports it was "no big deal" and "you'll get used to it". As long as morons keep defending it, they will continue multiplying until the games become unwatchable.

Aren't European taxes much higher than US taxes?

I don't see how it can work unless the teams are put in Canada. I would much rather see some new teams in the US where the game originated. And belongs.

The stadium at Quad Cities is incredible. The location right on the river, and all the quirks and character it has makes it one of the best stadiums I have ever went to. I loved sitting behind home plate seeing the bridge in the background. And there's a cornfield down the LF line. I never got on the ferris wheel, but it was tempting. I even had a nice chat sitting next to a family of a Cubs and Brewers fan before the game. I was just thinking last night one of the few things I miss about living in IA is going to Quad Cities games.

Exactly. It cracks me up so many pretend concessions are expensive at only baseball games. When the reality is, they're expensive for all the other leagues too. Not only that, one could easily avoid that by grabbing something somewhere else before or after the game. The food mostly sucks at the stadium anyway. It never added anything to the "experience" for me. The only "experience" I needed at a game was the roar of the crowd. And the crack of the bat. I was just grateful my dad bought me a ticket. That alone was enough for me. We ate at home before the game. And that was fine with me.

I wish him the best. But the trade now opens up a spot for Baez.
