Give it 2 or 3 years. Big changes are coming.
screw your feelings, but we do appreciate the massive NIL contributions through the gas pumps. the new center of SEC power will be in Texas.

These Texas boys are gonna have a hard time understanding they are no longer the big swinging dicks of their conference. THEY decided to join US. They have the same pull as the Alabama schools, as the Mississippi schools, the Tennessee schools, and everyone from Arkansas to South Carolina.
They are used to walking in the door and people bowing to their wishes. It isn’t like that for them anymore and it’s taking them a while to accept this fact.

The best case scenario is that ColoradoElkHerd is an alter. The worst case scenario is he is a Texas A&M fan.

Rant. This is a perfect example of Aggie posting.
“We feel the tourney should move closer to us”
That’s your feeling. Not mine

I moved to Hoover from Baton Rouge this year and decided to buy the full tournament package for about $100. One of the things I immediately appreciate about the tournament is the location. It is in an upper middle class area where kids walk to school and safe for people to leave their tail gating tents and grills unattended at night. It’s a small town feel in a suburb with a population of 100,000.

I've lived in Memphis most of my life. My family has been in the area for 150 years.
Families frequently attend games at Autozone Park with no issues. Police have a large presence downtown, and I consider it safe. Maybe not at 2 in the morning, but you should be back snug in your bed at the Peabody after midnight.
The only thing I will say about Autozone Park is that it's in need of a slight facelift. It's still a great park, but it's starting to show some normal wear and tear.

Memphis??? Have you been?
Yes, I drove through after dark on a trip to Big Cedar. I didn’t stop at any red lights.

Always funny to see these big bad gun toting tough guys afraid of a major US city with a metro population of 1,000,000+
Same type of puss that goes to Reddit asking if they’ll be safe driving down Poplar one time
ETA: (you won’t, you’ll die, stay far away, much danger!)
Just because you dont yearn to spend extra time in a shite hole doesn't make you a Nancy. I doubt very seriously you go on vacations to Detroit or Cleveland.

No, bring it to the Metroplex.

LSU fans are so full of anger they get mad when you make fun of Jackson, MS.

Why not the King Dome in Seattle?

I grew up down the river. When I was in school or college, a bunch of us went to a peep show place downtown. There were a bunch of seats in a circle around a silo shaped room. You would put up some money and a little six-inch window would open up and there would be a dancing pussy about a foot away from your nose behind a clear plastic window.
What I found funny was you could hear the girls in there having casual conversations about boring women activities like shopping, errands, etc. You could see the asses of the girls dancing in front of the windows across the room. I always wonder where that was, would like to revisit the location and chuckle about knowing what used to go on in that building.
Somebody's current day Nana used to do that. I would imagine most of them are dead though.
As far as the baseball goes, Memphis is not that much shorter to drive to than Birmingham from down in Texas anyway.

Memphis? Hell no.
Last time I was in Knoxville there were hundreds of homeless huddled around the rail yard in the downtown area. It felt very unsafe. And wasn’t it the same rail yard where a woman was viciously raped and murdered a few years back? Google it.

I'm pretty sure the SEC looks down on their fans being murdered between games.

Wait, are telling us that there was a crime in Knoxville? You've got to be shitting me.

Can you at least pretend that Alabama gives a shite about education?

Good thing I don’t live in Knoxville. I live in Maryville

From almost anyone who has attended, the reviews of Hoover are pretty great. They do a good job as hosts.
