I agree, this is why the SEC moved the Alabama v. Arkansas game to the third Saturday in October next year, the league has felt this weekend of the football schedule has been neglected far too long with crappy games and Arkansas taking the week off.

This rivalry is the sole reason there is a "bridge" schedule? C'mon...

How is our conference a joke? Last six BCS champs, dominating the top 25 year in and year out. Huge TV contract...I don't get your point?

Let expansion run it's course. I'm an opponent of ANY expansion, including A&M and Mizzo. I would actually like to see Arkansas and S. Carolina leave and get back to pre 1992. I go to a lot of the games and I loved the interstate connections to most of our campuses. But this isn't about the fans anymore. It's about the $.

yes, you and Tennessee and Auburn and Georgia's

the scheduling not the league. this is two years of schedules that are not permanent, so no one even knows what is going to happen next year either

Arkansas and Mizzou not playing? Who knows when LSU will play Missouri...might be 12 years from now at this point. Some teams are playing away against the same opponent 2 years in a row...how did UGA rotate off of Bama's schedule randomly?

and as the poster before me said. the third saturday in October is sooooo important that its on the fourth Saturday next year

will the world still keep turning? the horror of the tradition being changed!

It's been either the third or fourth Saturday in Oct for some time. Date doesn't really matter. This rivalry survives expansion yet again!

Sure would be nice to see a few UT fans joining me on this. Maybe they're avoiding the Rant today.

The game will continue being played no matter what the other SEC fanbases think. That's pretty obvious based on what's happened so far in re-alignment.

If they want to play @other SEC schools more than once every 12 years they are welcome to play them OOC.

So this is acceptable logic when you say it, but not when an LSU fan brings it up?

You can bring it up, but it's pretty obvious the TSIO will continue being played yearly. No need to entertain the thought that it won't.

I can understand other fanbases being mad, but WGAF?

Big difference between tradition and rivalry.

LSU has played MSU more than anyone else. It is not a rivalry.

You lost any tiny bit of credibility you may possibly have had when you tried to compare the Kansas-Missouri rivalry to Bama-UT.

Kinda funny, too, because you never had any credibility with your argument to begin with. LSU has no true traditional rival so I don't expect you to understand and frankly don't care if you do. dwi.

See this is where you are completely wrong. Kansas and Mizzou was a huge rivalry. But you dont think so, just like nobody else thinks bama and ut is an important game. I guarantee you most people dont even know TSIO is even a rivalry. I understand it's big to you, but it is not a big game in the eyes of college football fans

what is the difference? Kansas and Mizzou hate each other just as much as you and Tenn and is a very, very old rivalry

some of their fans are very upset this rivalry is ending

:sigh:

and around and around we go...back to excuses and deflection

I'm not really mad about it, just frustrated at how this expansion has gone down and directly affects my team

In fact, Mizzou vs Kansas started in 1891 with 120 games played. Bama vs ut started in 1901 with 92 games. Plus there is hate between those two states starting from the civil war. So history shows Kansas Vs Mizzou is way bigger than your game.

ETA: Spread you have been Boomed
ETA 2: The border war is the second oldest college football rivalry. Double boom you Gump

he used that point as his main point of me "losing credibility"

what a fricking retard, typical of a Gump who thinks the college football world only revolves around them

(he'll be back to say it doesn't matter, we don't have a rival so can't chime in )

Gumps think everyone cares about them. The truth is, just like life, no one cares about anyone but themselves. I understand the game is big to them, but college football doesn't care at all.

Both teams have been mediocre at various times during the rivalry. It's still a great rivalry that means a lot to many people.
Yeah, one can really tell how much the game means to Tennessee fans by the amount of red in the stadium. How much were tickets again?

Its hilarious because I have several friends from St. Louis (I live in the Midwest) so I know all about the Kansas-Mizzou hate

It is also why I am frustrated by the scheduling. When it was announced Missoui was getting added I was really excited and forward to LSU playing in Columbia, MO (really short drive for me) and then being able to take my Mizzou friends to Baton Rouge. But at this point none of us have any clue when that will be

Don't know much about Mizzuo-Kansas but my thread was about Bama - UT. Comparing that to TTSIO is ridiculous.
