You do realize that the ncaa is not the authority on Div-1 football. They have NEVER awarded a NC to the top division, so the list is just their opinion. However after WWII the polls standardized and the winners of those polls are considered the NC, before WWII it was a different polls for the NC.
Alabama is the only one of the early NC winners that had everyone of their teams to play in bowls.

And you had the same chance to win the Championship that day that Alabama had.
In 1966 it was decided by the poll voters at the beginning of the season to immediately drop Alabama behind ND and Michigan State.
Again, not the same. Your team and coach should've put in some effort in to a better game plan and some halftime adjustments in that game. But you had a 50/50 chance just like we did

Your claim for OM national champion, 1960... OM was the FWAA champ, but Minnesota won the AP and Coaches.
Arkie also won the FWAA in 1964 when Bama won the AP/Coaches.
So if you claim OM natty, Arkansas should also be added.
Also you forgot Texas A&M. They have an AP title (1939) even though they didn't belong to the SEC then, they are an SEC team now.

The NCAA has never awarded national championships to FBS football schools, so who really cares what some list they generated says?

Only legit Nc claims are a #1 finish I the AP or UPI/Coaches between 1936 and 2013 or winning the CFB playoff from 2014-present.
