Does Tennessee really have 6 legit titles. Some seem fabricated.
NCAA says they won in 1951 and 1998
Tennessee fans and wiki page says 6.
In 1938 TCU and Tennessee both went undefeated. TCU had Davey O’Brien and the AP voted them the nation's #1 team by 55 of the 77 voters in the final Associated Press writers' poll.
1940 Stanford, Minnessota, Tennessee and boston college all finished undefeated. They all claim the title but Minnessota was recognized as the national champion.
In 1950 Oklahoma won it but lost their bowl game to #7 Kentucky and then #3 Tennessee beat #2 Texas. Both Oklahoma and Tennessee finished with 1 loss. AP awarded Oklahoma before bowls were played.
1967 is a goofy one. They lose to #3 Oklahoma in their bowl. And USC beat #4 Indiana in their bowl. USC had been the top choice of the writers for the AP Trophy, with 36 of the 49 first place votes, and Tennessee followed with 11.

That's not possible. The dude's a troll and I doubt he's even a real LSU fan.

If Tennessee gets to claim six national championships without question then I don't want to see anyone complaining about Alabama's claim to a national championship from 1941. Tennessee's claim to the title in '67 is even more laughable considering there was an acknowledged system of awarding championships by that time (AP, Coaches, FWAA, NFF, etc.) and Tennessee failed to finish #1 in any of them that year.

The NCAA isn't involved in deciding national championships, and the link that fool is posting is just an article from some writer who picks and chooses what he wants.
You should know better than to believe anything Pokey posts.

28.
Playoff national championship is not a bowl game. The semi-finals is.
I think that's the difference being talked about anyway.

No, it's not.
They'll have the real bowl game, and then after they'll have the national championship game.
Georgia played Baylor in the Sugar Bowl last year, they didn't have 2 Sugar Bowls.

No shite, just like they didn’t have 2 Sugar Bowls when they added the 5th BCS game. NCAA counts the CFP championship as a bowl
