Reading between the lines, what he really said was that if they push forward with this equal media rights thing, the SEC is going to leave the NCAA. It was a veiled threat.

There is no way in hell that the shared rights thing will include the SEC or B1G. Not a chance*.

*for the record I didnt think the PAC12 would ever split up either

This delusion that whorn killed the SWC and BIG XII never ceases to be hilarious.

whorn, AGGIE, Baylor, and Tech ALL held hands and abandoned the SWC together bitches, which collapsed the ill-fated conference that would've collapsed anyway.

The BIG XII is still alive and bigger than any time in its history while sending teams to the playoffs. At no point has it been "destroyed", ever.

Another delusion oft-repeated by morons.

And if you think whorn and aggie can kill this conference, you're even more delusional that I can imagine.

Why do you suppose that Texas and OU weren't able to keep the Big 12 afloat without A&M and Missouri?

Did the BIG 12 sink after you guys left or something? I don't recall this ever happening in history. I don't recall your absences making any difference whatsoever, actually.

yeah the SEC is done, LSU deserves a commendation because they have been trying to make this happen since 2007. I think no one will actually care what happens

To be fair to Arkansas and Colorado, when they moved, they both believed Texas was moving to the same conference as well. So they don't even support your argument.

That’s horseshite little Ida, Arkansas left for a more secure situation, texas was an afterthought.

hey idiot, that's exactly what I'm saying: that Arkansas didn't go to the SEC to run away from Texas, like A&M and Nebraska did.

SEC commissioner Greg Sankey acknowledged that some schools within the conference have discussed the possibility of breaking away from the NCAA. While this hardly seems noteworthy these days, he made it clear that he does not believe that is the right path for college athletics.

I believe in order for football to become a more equitable field similar to the NFL college football will have to follow that model and o don’t know if that’s possible while still keeping up the guise that this has anything to do with education. In order for their to be contracts similar to the NFl the players will have to become employees of the football program or everyone will have to agree to the same set of rules and allow themselves to be governed by a body that has the ability to punish for rule breaking without allowing themselves liberal courts to overturn every decision that body makes. We are about to see most sports outside of men’s and women’s basketball, baseball and football to be cut and some universities will lose their baseball programs as well because is is a non revenue sport at most universities.

Colorado, Nebraska, Missouri and Texas A&M left to be replaced by West Virginia, BYU, Cincinnati, Houston, and UCF. Think some pac 12 leftovers may have joined when Texas and Oklahoma left. The big 12 is basically the new conference USA.

It's what they do.

I don't mind playing them.

I don't want to be in a conference with them.

Arkansas leaving was the death knell for the SEC. Arkansas was running to a better situation not away from anything….actually won the league in football and basketball on the way out.

College sports will change. Not for the better, but they will change, The NFL and NBA are quite happy about the demise college sports which will basically become the G league.

You’ve won how many championships since you’ve joined? One is women’s VB? And you own the conference?

Child please. STFU.

I realize you speak for every Arkansas fan and administrator back then, but the then Arkansas head coach Jack Crowe disagrees with you.

quote:

“I was told that Texas and Texas A&M were coming with us, along with Florida State,” Crowe recalled.

Now quit pestering me, lady.

In his defense, WHY play in a group where something is illegal for Team A, but the same thing is allowed for Team B?

What’s wrong for wanting rules applied equally?
