There’s not a QB in the SEC that is worth first round money.

The Saban era has ended no one is stepping up. It was a nice run with a few stepping up occasionally but the dominance looks to be over for the time being. shite happens.

ACC had the original chant. We got tired of it and responded with the SEC chant. Now you know the rest of the story.

Little bit of an overreaction. I’d agree that the Big might be the best conference this season, because the SEC didn’t really have any great teams. I’d say the bottom half of the SEC is probably stronger than the bottom of the BIG though. But to make the claim that suddenly the BIG is the premier conference because they had a handful of good teams and potentially one great team is an overreaction. According to On3 recruiting, the best talent is still going to the SEC. Top 10 recruiting teams has 7 SEC teams and 3 BIG teams. As long as that doesn’t change, the SEC will still be the premier conference consistently.

LSU, Florida and Auburn have all won championships in this century making 5 SEC schools.

I've got 6 between those schools.
LSU = 3 - 2003, 2007 and 2019
FLA = 2 - 2006 and 2008
AUB = 1 - 2010

Bama and GA = 8

That's 14 NC's from 2003-2022.
That's domination and will be back.

NIL$$$$$ = there's your answer. OSU went out and spent wisely and it shows. They are 2 steps above the next best teams....and it's not debatable.

I'm going to laugh when the championship game is Texas vs Notre Dame.

The regional conference I'm referring to is the SEC.

With NIL now and the portal it’s not about conferences anymore. With the way the portal is going recruiting won’t matter much longer. You’ll pick the stud 3 star from Appalachian state year two paying him 1.5 million. Developing qb’s will be the thing of the past. You’ll just replenish the next year. My how things have changed. No wonder Saban got out.

There was a time Georgia offense sputtered and struggled against Kentucky. I believe the starter played that game. It is what Georgia is going to be nowadays. Unless Kirby finds a way to get the offense to play well every game. Not once in a while.

The only reason for the SEC SEC Chant was because the only good team was Bama and Ga , the rest rode the coattails.

Must be why 4 other conference teams won titles during the BCS and 4-team CFP eras?

If you can't admit that the SEC was far and away the best conference over the past 25 years, you're just trolling. The trophies speak for themselves.

Even without the national titles, just go look at bowl game records, players drafted to the NFL, money made in the NFL, teams ranked in BCS/CFP/AP/Coaches polls, etc...Go ahead and compare anything you would like over the past 25 years or so and the data will speak for itself. No chants needed.

Now if your argument is that the SEC isn't what it used to be and the decline started a few years ago except for Bama and UGA, that's fine. But to say the conference hasn't been THE standard in college football is, again, just dumb.

First move should probably be getting rid of Mike Bobo. Why/how Kirby thought it was a good idea to bring him back to UGA (longtime OC/QB coach for Mark Richt) is beyond comprehension. The guy is the embodiment of "close, but no cigar" for the Georgia football team. They'll win 10 games a year, but never win national titles with him calling plays. That's been his career, in a nutshell, since he started coaching at UGA. His career away from Georgia has been a whole lot of "meh" and even more "very bad".

But, I hope they ignore anyone with that mindset and hang onto to Bobo for more than a decade again like Richt did.
