If you understood the “real” reasons why they wanted to secede
They wanted slavery to continue because their profits relied on the peculiar institution.
In the name of profit and slavery, they convinced thousands of poor white field hands the war was about "state's rights" so they'd fight for this cause.
Neo confederates betray the direct evidence of history to lick the boots of dead rich planters.

You’re a reactionary type I see.
Gotta love today’s “instant pronouncement” society.
The SEC will be fine.

So it's over? The southern states will never win another national championship in any major sport because ohio state won this year and it just completely ended any chance any of us had.

You are an excellent example of how well the Marxist infiltrated academic system has failed an entire generation.

I'm not talking about Ohio, especially in this past election ... but we might, if you'd like? Just lemme know and we'll take it over to the PoliBoard in a skinny minute.
I was very very clear and concise when I stated "suckeye" .... which is a play on their buckeye thing. The school itself is notoriously far farrrr left wing liberal progressive. Suckeyes are moving into SC like cockroaches and rats and they're constantly trying to change things here and they're always spewing their "we won the Civil War" bullshite.
Suckeyes are literally probably going to spark another war when we throw their suckeyes asses outta this state. There are more suckeye flags flying in this state right now, after last night, than any other state, except Ohio. And we're proud of our new VP. And we get the other good things about most of Ohio .... but frick the suckeyes and their fans. They're the worst fans in the country.

That must be why the SEC smokes the BIG in baseball & now basketball too.

BTW, how much of today's BIG country was relevant in 1861? The "North" was the ACC

Truth and reality hurt, don't they?
Interesting that Ohio was the stronghold of the Copperheads during the Civil War. The democratic political group who were against the war and wanted ti sue for peace allowing the Confederacy to go its happy way.

Mississippi
We got the racist shite out of our systems back in the 60s.
Seems like the states up North are the ones struggling to get along with black people.
Every time you hear about a cop f*cking up a black guy, its always in a major city up North. Here in Mississippi, we actually have to interact with black people on the daily and most of us get along just fine. We have black people in small towns unlike the North. Everywhere up North, they pack all of the black people as tight as they can in a shitty part of the city and never interact with them....and the white liberals get up on their soap box and virtue signal...and pretend they are righteous...
I am a guy from Mississippi who has lived in numerous large cities up North and I've witnessed how it really is. I've seen way more hostility up there than I have down here. People of opposite races are a lot more respectful to each other down here. We've come a long way.
New York—the bastion of liberalism—is the most segregated state for black students
