what leverage does LSU think they have to pay less than what he’s owed in his contract
At this point in time, LSU’s primary case would seem to be “he sucked and we really don’t like him personally so we shouldn’t have to pay him what we agreed to.”

Judging from the board and topics being started, the Aggies appear to be handling their success much more successfully than their fellow SEC members are handling the Aggies success.

Because he believes he can be the next Spurrier or Meyer. Kiffin knows with the resources UF has that he could rebuild that program and make them a contender for a NC on a regular basis. At Ole Miss he can make them a contender for the playoffs. I believe he ends up at UF and when will depend on how far Ole Miss makes it. If they do not make the playoffs Kiffin will be in Gainesville before Christmas.
I think Lane has all the reasons in the world to stay at Oxford and leave a legacy as “The Guy”.
He has Ole Miss positioned as a legitimate playoff contender (once you get in the playoffs anything can happen) and to my knowledge he has not had an inability to land the players he wants to Oxford.
He seems to have matured in many respects and maybe has moved around enough to realize the grass is not always greener.
That said, you do make an understandable argument and at the end of the day, Lane has never been predictable.
If he decides to leave what he’s built and take a chance then it’ll be an intriguing story to follow.
At the end of the day, even the best facilities are still no “guarantee”. If Lane goes to Gainesville or Baton Rouge and for whatever reasons, isn’t producing playoff appearances and serious runs for a Natty within relatively short order, the natives will get very restless quickly, no matter how good Lane’s social media game might be.
It’ll be taking a chance he may look back on with regret.
Will be interesting to see what he ultimately decides to do.

A powerful Trans-Atlantic oligarchy.
That’s who has been ruling from the shadows over the U.S. and other western nations for who knows how long.
The facade of traditional GOP vs Dem politics served well for a long time because there were plenty of “window dressing” type issues for the public to believe there were real differences…while the real goals continued on unnoticed.
DJT’s emergence on the national political scene was at first regarded as a sideshow / harmless absurd joke.
When DJT’s message captured the overwhelming support of an increasingly disaffected American public, the joke suddenly became a critical threat.
The threat is not to democracy. Hell, the support the American people have given to DJT is our attempt to exercise democracy.
The threat has always been to the powerful oligarchy and its long firm control over the puppet political class.

The best rivalries are those where the rivals go out of their way to make sure the other side knows it’s not really a rival.
Especially when they do so a little under 3 weeks out from their game that’s not really a rivalry game.
And yeah, I guess UT - A&M is beyond a rivalry. It’s more like a blood feud.
You have knuckleheads on both sides who can deny all you want but everyone else can see it plain as day.
I’m glad Aggie-Horn has returned to the field. As a fan of college football, it’s simply good for college football.

By any means necessary.
Wasted money and hardship on Americans was of no concern to the Left.
The potential they saw to try and twist things to damage and weaken Trump was all that mattered.

I’m not sure my work gives me any added perspective into mass migration from other countries to be honest. I don’t believe everything I see on social media or on the internet so I don’t necessarily buy into this open hostility to American culture from a significant number of immigrants narrative.
While I don’t disagree in entirety about the Internet and social media, I would encourage not to necessarily turn a blind eye / default reject those things in the world you wish not to be true.
Appreciate the honest discussion.

Ok, cool. Again, sincerely good for you doing this.
So, even though they have quite obviously had some different life experiences, they still have largely been exposed to and shared a common western American culture in their lives. Exposure to the same entertainment choices, the same religious choices, same fast food choices, sports choices, etc, correct?
I’m not asking if they could afford to live in the same high end neighborhoods, or attend the best private schools or afford to eat in the same high end restaurants.
I’m asking rather, were they generally exposed to the same “American” culture that you or I or most anyone else in this country grew up knowing?
If so, …..in what way does that give you any added perspective or insight into the topic of the current coordinated mass migration of completely different cultures and values into western nations? Some of which are showing no inclination or desire at all for co-existing or assimilating into the existing culture of the host country and in some cases, open contempt and hostility towards the existing culture of that host country?

This is actually sad.

If I were upset I wouldn’t chuckle at your frequent lecturing of this board.
I’m just continually amazed at the continued “wisdom” of those who hold this high-minded, idealistic, utopian view that deep-down the entire world inherently shares your western educated, humanistic, politically liberal values and we are just not trying hard enough from having everyone in the world holding hands and singing in perfect harmony while we share a Coca-Cola.
I think you’re likely a well-meaning person but you are just so naive to the true realities of the world and different people, different cultures and different values. You refuse to learn from (or simply stubbornly choose to ignore) the world’s greatest teacher - History itself.
