- Talking heads trying to fill air time and get clicks.
- LSU being the only school targeted for this ridiculous “NFL players going to play in college” issue - which if you actually bothered to learn the facts, it’s much deeper than the headline and other schools have done exactly the same.
- Now the vanity fair hit piece with interesting timing. VANITY Freaking FAIR - give me a break. A has-been publication who decided they need to branch out from movie stars and make up tips to sell more subscriptions. What’s a polarizing, attention grabbing topic right now - why Lane Kiffin and LSU of course.

Lane is right - block out the noise. Embrace being the villain and ..Just WIN.

This. It was a lot of fun being the villain for 17 years

Though we have been the villain for such a longer time than that.

Embracing being the villain is what gets you booted from the conf.

Or, he could just end the drama by issuing a statement that he will comply with the SEC’s pro athlete rules and therefore will not be rostering any players who have signed a pro contract. Easy.

Yep. If you embrace it as a fan, that's great.

As the head coach, AD or President of the school? Not so good

He has said he will follow the courts.

The SEC said they will follow the courts.

What is the problem here?

Simple fix, dismiss the MFL player

Also, Lane did an interview with Vanity Fair basically calling OM racist. No one from LSU had a problem then but not you call them a “has been” which would make Lane a has been for interviewing with them right?

Did he though???

quote:

"[They would say], 'Hey, Coach, we really like you. But my grandparents aren't letting me move to Oxford, Mississippi,'" Kiffin said, according to the magazine. "That doesn't come up when you say Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Parents were sitting here this weekend saying the campus' diversity feels so great: 'It feels like there's no segregation. And we want that for our kid because that's the real world."

"I was asked questions about the differences in recruiting, and I said a narrative that we battled there from some out-of-state Black parents and grandparents was not wanting their kid to move to Mississippi. That's a narrative that coaches have been fighting forever. It wasn't calculated by bringing it up."

Civilized society, as does the SEC, has some rules that are not rooted in actual law. Lane has said the hell with those rules, I am only following the law.

There are people out there like that. They don’t go to jail for it, because just being a complete narcissistic a-hole is not against the law. But they do get shunned and ostracized. Sometimes that get their arse kicked. One may even get their employer kicked out of the SEC.
