Yall - we’ve been through it. We saw the same thing happen with Ed Orgeron. Caught lightning in a bottle with a generational QB and put a great run together. Once that team dissolved, it was downhill fast. Golding is the Mississippi equivalent of Orgeron - encapsulates the whole “he feels like one of us” thing. Only difference is yall aren’t winning a natty like the greatest ever cfb team. But just as we did - be loud, proud, and insufferable and enjoy it while it lasts bc once Chambliss is gone (unless of course he gets TRO for a 7the season) it’s over and yall will be wishing you still had Kiffin.

Exactly!!! Making my point. Look at the gif. The ole miss player pointing is well past lane and seems to be generally pointing at the lsu sideline. Kiffin is looking the other way the whole time and either didn’t even see him or completely ignored him. How is this a big deal? I admit - executed appropriately this could have been cool. But i’ve honestly been looking at this over and over on social media and I don’t see it. Now if Lane was looking at or saw him - I get it. But otherwise it’s a tree falling in the forest. If you diss someone and they either completely miss or ignore you in the first place…how does that make you look good??

It’s funny how this pic has gotten ole miss and other lsu haters so excited. I don’t get it. Trying to look at it objectively. Kiffin is not even looking at them. For all we know he probably missed the whole thing. But the ole miss player pointing at him feel like they are in a big gotcha moment. But Lane could give 2 fricks. It’s a one sided diss.

Research shows that extreme hate requires deep emotional investment, meaning only something that deeply mattered (love, attachment, or high expectations) can fuel that level of intensity. Indifference is the true opposite of love, not hate.
It’s funny to see all these Ole Miss fans now pretend like they never liked Lane Kiffin in the first place and act like he was a horrible coach and person. Plenty of receipts around here of Ole Miss fans gushing over Kiffin as he led yall to your best stretch of winning and relevance ever.
This is actually an area that LSU fans can relate. We had the same thing happen with Nick Saban. We hated him every time he came back to Tiger Stadium with Alabama but deep down inside we knew we could never deny the fact that he won us a national championship and forever changed the trajectory of the LSU football program. The difference is Saban has been on record saying he regrets leaving LSU. You will never hear Lane Kiffin saying he regrets leaving Ole Miss bc yall are 2nd tier and you just have to accept it.
LSU fans are at least willing to accept and admit it with Saban. Ole Miss - y’all are still going through your early stages of grief..and so anger and denial about Kiffin are normal emotions at this point. Recognize it, take some deep breaths, and calm down.

LSU - spanking of Clemson and LA Tech (team that scored 80 the wk before)
Ole miss - back and forth win over “ranked” Louisville and 41-9 win over juggernaut Charlotte.
Simply based on quality of competition, I say LSU bc if Clemson plays Louisville, Clemson wins. If La Tech plays Charlotte, they demolish Charlotte. Objectively LSU has the better quality 2-0.
(And yes - i know all that matters is going 3-0 this wkend…but it’s going to be a long week and we can only talk Kiffin returning to Ole Miss so much)

1st one: Caused by pressure from the right side. #21 made a great move on the RT and got to Leavitt which caused him to make a rushed throw without setting his feet and ball sailed over trey dez
2nd one (pick 6 from goal line): inaccurate throw but also aided by poor execution. Right play call but #6 lsu ran a lazy route (and gave up on the play afterwards). He should have run a shallower route to block/obstruct the trailing defender and give the WR a chance to get free underneath. He didn’t - ended up in no man’s land and didn’t impact the play at all…and so the defender was able to impact the wr just enough so our wr was a step behind. Ball was thrown out in front - int. This one’s on #6 as much as it is on Leavitt.
3rd one: this one’s all on Leavitt. He had TreyDez open underneath and single coverage on eugene wilson but chooses to force it into triple coverage. Defender tips the ball..INT. Just a bad decision.
Did come out much more confident later in the game. Am sure they will watch film and adjust. Fixable mistakes but if Leavitt is under pressure, he’s shown he’s much more comfortable running vs throwing.
