Carolina fans sure do love to hate lsu. I would too if I was 2-17-1 all time against them.

Bump.

Line is now -5.5/-6 depending on where you look. I wonder if Vegas still thinks this one’s even

Honestly, that would scare me if I were an LSU fan. Generally speaking, when the public moves a line significantly in one direction, the correct thing to do is fade the public.

Where did this 80% chance for LSU to win come from that SECN is flipping out over?

By "Vegas", you mean the public betters?

Herman is 13-2-1 ATS as an underdog, and that's where the savvy bets will be, especially at -6 at home

Texas is returning 4 starters against a team full of returnees with Better talent to begin with. Texas isn’t winning this game. Herman can’t game plan around the lack of experience and talent enough to mitigate the talent and experience difference.

Exactly, one has Tiger and one has Manziel in their user name. Isn't exactly rocket science.

I would be more shocked than the Georgia State win over the Vols if LSU gets beaten badly by Texas. I could see a loss if y'all have one of those games where the turnover bug bites but it would take a collapse of epic proportions to lose big.

With no disrespect intended to Texas, which is hard because I loathe them, I just don't think they have the defense to slow down LSU enough to win the game.

especially at -6 at home

That is exactly what the casual dummies will see. "Oh a top 10 team getting 6 points at home"

The reality is:
- #6 vs #9 is almost as even as you can get in rankings
- Naturally you would think the line would be near even
- Home field advantage yields +5.39 points

Even ranking + Home field = Texas should be -3 or -4 (lowered since they are technically lower ranked)

The fact that they are not only an underdog, but opened as a 5 point underdog, shows Vegas is daring you to take Texas.

"Vegas" isn't daring you do to do anything. The public is heavy on LSU, so the line has moved.
