Ranger is also known as the killer of weak transmissions and borderline leaky head gaskets. What gets you by in the flatter parts of Texas may not get you up that big elevation change. I don't think the climb is quite as steep as it used to be though.

I think going to UK not only ruined his coaching career but his personal life as well.

He had been pulled over twice for driving under the influence before getting to Kentucky, so I think his demons were at work no matter where he was coaching. But yeah, this place would have been a better platform for him to serve as a functional alcoholic. Terrible disease . . .runs in my family.

I agree, it was a bad move. He was a great fit in Aggie land.

And I think he realizes that to this day that A&M was the right fit all along. I remember when he was coaching at Tech and came back to play A&M for the first time he was very emotional about being in CS again and how much A&M meant to him.

It is great to see him coaching at Tarleton State which is part of the A&M System. Joseph Jones came in as the interim coach while BCG had to take a leave and he nearly got them a regular season championship in the WAC.

Congrats to the Ags, nice win

This thread was never a troll, I just stumbled upon that dudes highlights and saw that he could make it rain. Even more rare that he’s Japanese.

Welcome to the 2nd round, it’s an elite club for the SEC this year

I won't fault him for crying. For alot of these guys, this is probably the last game of basketball they will ever play.

It was a mistake for both us and him. Its why our AD was not the one to hire Calipari and likely won't be involved in hiring his replacement.

Reading comprehension isn’t your forte. My response was to you saying you didn’t hear his name called. It was called plenty. Do better.

The story around College Station at the time was Arkansas was after BCG as well and that caused Kentucky to raise the offer.

In hindsight Billy Clyde was too armored with the fame and lost control of reality.

That is all history. We all should pray for him because his health is not good.

As was mentioned previously Assistant Joesph Jones has been stand in head coach at Tarlington State since early in the season as BCG is fighting serious medical problems.

Billy Clyde sketched up many an offensive penetration on cocktail napkins and waitresses at Fox and Hound.

And our idiot AD had a memorandum of understanding on a napkin with BCG instead of a contract. The pressure at UK was too much for BCG and he lost it. He had a weird look in his eyes the second season and did some bizzare things.

He literally self destructed in alcohol. Yes he should have stayed at A&M and Barnhart should have been fired.

Joker Phillips was another mistake. UK’s baseball team has never been to Omaha, the women’s basketball team has never been to the final four and his hire there was a disaster.

I feel for BCG. He took a job that should have never been offered by an idiot AD. Then he had to work for this sanctimonious Dabo Sweeney clone. That would drive anyone off the wagon.
