It was a trainwreck, and I wish the same thing for UF.

*Spurrier in the building is a bad idea.

*Mcelwain was not a good fit for UF. Many Bull Gators thought he was weird and awkward. The few that I know personally, disliked him.

*As bad as Mac was, the real underlying problem is Randy Shannon, he has fragmented the locker room, with "his S Fla. Guys" Go look at where the suspended players are mostly from. S Fla.

*Shannon is a cancer in the locker room. He has fragmented the players, and the coaching staff. (see last Saturday)

* He took the commit Sunday from a kid who's commitment was denied at least 4 times by UF previously. (Basically they didn't want him)
* Who commits to an interim coach? A 2 star S. Florida kid to Randy Shannon.

*The quicker that Randy Shannon is gone from Gainesville the better.

Gators are quickly becoming the sewer pit of the state of florida, and it feels great.

If everyone is really honest about Urban. Percy Harvin made that offense roll. Not the spread. When Percy left for the NFL floridas offense dropped siginificantly

Actually Mullen made it run.

Addazio was the reason UF stunk in 2009 in comparison.

He literally ran Demps and Rainey up the middle, and Tebow outside.

It was the most bizarre play calling I can remember. Even Nuss wouldn't have thought that was a good idea.

At least Addazio knew how to run a RB screen though(I think we've run three in three years).

Delusion?

Under 17 years in a spread style system, UF has been to Atlanta ten times.

Florida won the SEC 7 of those ten times.

SO with UF running a spread style, they have the highest win percentage in the SEC in those years, and by a wide margin.

They have 4 title apperences, 3 national title wins.

Ten SEC title showings, and 7 wins.

You are right. It is delusional to think Florida is a danger with a spread offense.

Stats show UF with a spread is the best team in the SEC since 1990. It shows UF is below average with a prop style offense(Zook, Mus, Mac).

So yes. Florida with a spread offense, is the most dangerous team to Bama. LSU won't scare Bama, they run a pro system and pro systems haven't beam Bama since 2011. Georgia is possible because Smart can recruit like Saban, but still, he runs a Bama like system. Have to actually out coach Saban. Not easy.

Not delusion. Just basic stats and factual history. With a spread style offense(Veer and Fun and Gun), UF has been the best program in the SEC while running it.

In a pro style, we are trash.

Facts hurt your argument. Next time, I may let you have quarter. I doubt it though.

Too many cooks in the kitchen. What up and coming coach would want to get involved in that Chinese fire drill?

What coach would want to come to what many consider the 2nd or third best job in the best conference?

Don't know...we may need to go for a Dline coach.

I doubt they would get a big name coach but maybe a good OC from a good program.

This..plus he's a quitter... he should've never said a damn bad word during the season about the coaching nor the offense, I bet he told as many people that would how awesome the offense would be if he was coaching..arogant prick.

May be right on the first part but Canada is not running a "pro system." And we weren't running a pro system in '10 and '11 before L7U started.

Agreed. The only team that stood in Bamas way from winning the SEC has been UF. UF is the only team to Match Bama in titles since expansion and is 4-5 all time vs Bama in the seccg. That includes the last 2 years. When UF has a good coach, the talent matches Bama blow for blow. Especially when we lock down instate talent. Thats one reason Bama has been dominant. If Meyer had stayed and recovered Bama would've been the footnote in our dynasty.

Sounds like a bunch of meddling from Foley, Spurrier and others. McElwain got them to Atlanta twice and I'm not sure anyone could do much better with all the starters lost through the season.

Which is exactly why I posted on another thread why Dan Mullen would never take that job.
