Ole Miss didn't kick any field goals on 4th and short, all of their field goals were at least 4th and 5 or further.

Pete went for it on two 4th and shorts, just as Kiffin has been apt to do.

Kiffin would not have kicked 2 50+ yard field goals.

I watched to many of his games to say he changes his ways on that.

Who knows, maybe kiff scores tds instead of fieldgoals and they blow out uga like they did in 25

Kiffin whipped the dogshit out of Georgia in 24..

28-10. That Georgia Team won the SEC and made the playoff.

It seems absurd to assume Kiffin couldnt beat Smart considering he blew Smart off the field once already.

Too many people discredit Lane because of where he is now and its insane.

Of course he does, his offensive staff defeated an injury-depleted UGA team, Lane on the sidelines obviously does the same thing this isn't rocket science

Agreed, it's unintelligent bias and haterism as if they forgot how good Coach Kiffin is at his job with his track record

You got Sunbelt Billy 2.0.
LSU got Kiffin.

Never forget

He attempted a 51 yard field goal on 4th and 10 at Kentucky and 54 yard field goal on 4th and 8 vs Tulane yet he wouldn't have tried 50+ yard field goals indoors at the Dome?

I recall Caden Davis hitting some really long field goals for Ole Miss in previous seasons, like 55+.

Under Kiffin, at least once, we would have given Georgia a 30yd field.

Why? You didn't in the first matchup.

If Kiffin stayed, Ole Miss wins the National Championship.

I think they beat Georgia in roughly the exact same fashion.

I think they beat Miami with a better gameplan and no distractions.

I think they beat Indiana in a close one.

Miami only had 342 yards in the game and held Mendoza to 186 yards and IU to 317 total yards. Ole Miss is a step behind the Miami defense, but their offense was world's better than Miami. I think they score a ton, force IU to keep up, and they can't.

TL;DR - Yes, I think Kiffin beats UGA, but he also beats Miami and Indiana.

The final seventeen points in that game were given up by Pete Goldings defense, right? Just sayin … Also, Kiffen was still on the sidelines right? So that means Pete Golding’s sole purpose was to coach the defense, right? Champions can hang seventeen on an opponent in the fourth quarter. Champions can prevent seventeen in the fourth quarter. Just sayin…

Golding drive the Maserati that Lane built from the ground up...the players and entire coaching staff. He will largely do the same this season.

It's laughable to think that you really know anything about Golding as a HC after 2 games (one against a glorified rent-a-win), as it will be 2027 before he has to even deal with picking a starting QB.

Kiffin easily.

Ole Miss doesn't make the playoffs with Golding as HC all season last year.

Lots has been said about Kiffin and Golding this offseason, both good and bad.

But who’s really the better coach?

Golding has 2 CFP wins. Kiffin has zero.

Would Kiffin had beaten Georgia in the CFP last year? I’d say no, but opinions will probably vary on that.

Although the Ole Miss vs. LSU happens this year, it’s not really an apples to apples comparison since LSU has substantially more talent. They should win… but if Golding wins, I think the debate is over anyway.

So we have the apples to apples comparison on how they did as coach of Ole Miss last year.

Golding is a better coach (and already better CFP record) than Kiffin as of right now, in my opinion.

Look no farther at the current rankings. Then you have the polls showing Golding has Ole Miss ranked higher than LSU that Lame Kiffin is the HC there. Having Golding ranked higher because Ole Miss shall make the playoffs this season and LSU more likely not to make the playoffs this season.

In which case, he passed on a sure fire 100% national title in the hopes of making it back there at some point in the future.... That's quite the thought process you have there

That's like asking about the Nick Saban vs Curley Hallman debate.

Massa Wife would have won the NC if your dumb arse AD would've let LK coach his team in the CFP.

M W don't get too many legit shots at a Natty.

Considering Lane lost to UF and UK in 2024 with that roster he had, he probably loses to James Madison.
