The Decline happens very , very gradually ...and then very, very SUDDENLY all at once. You are in the gradual portion. There are no more championships ahead. It will all be clear to you soon enough.

With several key 3rd down conversions. bama's last TD was a Hail Mary type 80 yard pass on its last offensive play. bama had its chances on defense, lucky on offense's last possession, or other wise LSU had a double digit win.
