Why play into this thought? People thought Coach Bryant was done in 1970, and look at the next 10 years at Alabama ((3 NC, and played for 3 more)
They can hope, pray and wish, but really the only time Alabama might decline is when Coach Saban leaves.

It makes for fun message board banter. But, Bama isn't going away any time soon unfortunately for the rest of us.

Man if you are so devoted to AU & LSU go join them I'm sure they'll love to have you! As for us Bammers, don't let the door hit you where the sun doesn't shine.

1) Saban isn't Bryant. What Bryant did or didn't do has no bearing on what Saban will or won't do.
2) There is significantly more parity in the college game today. It's much harder to stay at the top now.
3) In the last 5 years alone, the game has changed so much. Spread/RPO schemes have changed the landscape and defenses are slow to adjust...even for vaunted defensive minds like Saban.
In one calendar year, Saban teams have given up 40+ points 3 times. The better question is not how long Saban stays, but rather will he be able to return Bama to the dominant defense it once was in the current offensive landscape, or are we a league now of high flying offenses?
Before the butthurt flows, Saban isn't alone in this. I'm on pins and needles to see what Bo will do as DC at LSU again and if he can clamp down some of these offenses.

I wasn't trying to do a "tread" about it! Because some fan bases, actually only 2, I won't say the tigers names even if LSU or Auburn are tigers, totally over glorifying themselves to no end! What did they do?
They slipped up on a crippled and very youthful Bama team. Games they could not have won without a bunch of things going they're way.
Check the stats! We put up plenty of pts and yes. However, we turned the ball over on too many unforced errors. Pick sixes that had no sense or purpose for happening. Just sick awful luck kept Bama from taking home #18. Not the tigers by themselves. Heck no!

Jeez...what does that say about a team that manages to lose 8 games in a row to them?

So, does ala. plan on playing ANYBODY other than LSU and Auburn in 2020?
South-Central Vermont A&T Barber's College ?
Better schedule then you'll play!

If that's the case. Then why are fewer teams winning the natty now than they did back due in Bryant's era??
Hmmm?

LSU maybe a split down the middle. But most likely Saban would of had Brady's # by then so probably 7-3 or 6-4 Bama!
