Knott didn't do squat his first three years at bama. Left the team the spring of '19. Wasn't even on the '19 football roster. But yea he was counted on to be a major contributor to the '19 secondary.

Knott may or may not have beck e a major contributor, but he certainly would have been used in relief situations. Especially against lesser co.petition. Problem was he never could stay in the field. Too, many problems as to his mental make-up and princess to get hurt. However, he was being g counted on to help the team before his last go around with Saban and staying injured. Maybe, he could of been a huge help we will never know. Just another a broken cog in the litany of bad breaks Bama had to overcome and deal with.

Still, just 2×plays or 8pts maybe just 3pts "SHIP!"

OK you win. bama had a shite load of injuries that they couldn't overcome. Even though more than a couple were to guys that hardly ever played a meaningful snap in their bama careers.

Where was all that great depth from all those #1 recruiting classes. What happened to all those stud defensive recruits from the '16, '17 and '18 recruiting classes? I only ask because bama nation in general and you in particular just complain and complain about all those freshmen that were forced into action before they were ready.

IIRC Bammers were always bragging about how Bama reloads every year. No rebuilding.

They replace one 5* player with another 5*. That is until they don't and then they cry about it.

The Decline is not real!

I am sure if Nick saban can keep finding a good OC but that is getting harder and harder to get and many prefers to be HCs. This is what I am seeing going on in this generation.

You just not see the disadvantage of being a defensive head coach nowadays! It is becoming an offensive league. There are too many defensive head coaches that are having a hard time finding the right OC. That is why OCs are hard to find and to hold on to before they move on to be HCs. Get your quarterback through an offensive coach not through a defensive coach. See the difference? Missouri was sucking on offense for a while because the OCs were not experience/knowledgeable on balancing the run/throw. Then you need to get the right quarterback and know how to fix any mistakes the quarterback makes. That is why I am saying offense is by far more valuable than the defense. You do need good defense though. Big 12 runs offense and no defense that is what Leach is doing. Not work. You need balance attack. Nick Saban got lucky that no one in the SEC had good offense and a good defense. It was always a great defense and not so good offense. There were no good quarterbacks back then when Nick Saban ruling the SEC and winning championships. Now that is all changing and people are adapting and getting good quarterbacks and run a good offense against good defense.
