Generals

Allgood is the answer for me. The crowd at generals is wayyyy too damn redneck for me. I really dont mind Magnolias either though.

LSU: The Chimes....Hum-drum bar food definitely isn't on the menu at The Chimes. LSU students watch their fill of ESPN while tucking into crawfish etouffée, shrimp, and oysters at this chill, Southern spot

This place routinely has among the highest count of health violations in all of BR. Good food, but you're flipping the coin on dedicating the rest of your day to a porcelain throne.

If that’s a modern day “best bar” list, I’m pretty sure the shite that went down at Sports, Fred’s and the Tiger in the intoxication triangle of LSU circa 1990 would be illegal and cause for deportation. It was the greatest mosh pit of booze, hot women and music I’ve ever seen. I understand Murphy’s was a great place, too, I just never hung out there. I regret nothing.

I’d rather be at the salty dog in midtown than any Of those lame bars.

SOUTH CAROLINA: The Whig....The Whig has a dive-y vibe, but classes it up with a killer cocktail menu and fancy food offerings. Leather-back chairs and couches provide a plush setting to devour feta pesto dip or smoked Gouda mac & cheese, and you can bet the bartenders will be on their game with the music.

The Whig? is it, though?

I can think of a way more popular college bar at Carolina.

I would not put Chimes in top 5 bars at LSU.

The bar on game day is slower than Les Miles to change his offense.

The Whig in Columbia is a terrible choice.

It's a certain niche, for sure.

GOAT Cola bar was Uncle Louie's, and I'll pistol whip anyone who disagrees.

What bar/area was it that a Kentucky fan got shot when we played in Columbia a few years ago? I feel like if you're fixin to get buckwild on a road trip at Carolina, that's probably as rowdy a place as any

MISSOURI: Shiloh Bar & Grill

Out of the places they could have listed this is probably one of the lower on the totem pole when it comes to COMO.

Consequently, this list holds no water.

Give me Harpos or Willies!

Shouldn't even be on this list. No gameday atmosphere at all.

Gotta go with Phil's, Guinness on tap
Liked the Houndstooth much better before its makeover a few years back (jmho)

Phil's take Bama dining too.

When I was on Reed Street, Houndstooth would have $1 pitcher night. That was the shite.

seems like they are more worried about the food. I thought this was a bar ranking

Was going to post the same thing. When I was in college, what food a bar served was irrelevant

Exactly, if one is to rank college bars the only metric that matters is the easiness of the coeds.

AUBURN: Did not make the cut.

Shouldn't have either. Last actual good bar was the Supper Club. The rest of the crappy bars that exist there now cater to idiots.

Old school, War Eagle Supper Club. Hard to believe they shut it down. Should have been reincarnated somewhere in Auburn

The old drunk bus/shot bar lives on at a bar in Mobile called the OK Bicycle Shop.

MISSISSIPPI STATE: Dave's Dark Horse Tavern

Great pizza but definitely a hipster/stoner vibe in there. It's also way out of the way from everything.
