The AP poll seems to support upcoming matches. ND being ranked #4 only because they are playing Miami. Utah is only ranked #10 because they have Houston and BYU over the next 3 weeks. Utah best win so far is Arkansas.
Alabama is a top 25 team but they should have never been top 10. The only reason for the high ranking was it helped the rankings for the UGA game. By the way UA back at 13 where they started.
AP rankings all season have basically been a media tool to boost upcoming games and nothing more. Teams get a boost if a big game coming up.

I warned about BYU a few years ago when everyone could started paying for players. The LDS is loaded with money and if they decided to spend a tiny percentage of that money on their football team as a promotional tool for their mission they could have a monster team every year. I mean Ohio State or Texas kind of money. I don't think they have gone there yet, but the fact they had the no 1 rated transfer LB running around field last night making play after play says yes they are starting to spend money. I think everyone should get used to seeing them every year as a serious playoff contender.

Not sure how good UCLA is but they weren't winning because of Nico's arm when he was playing.

Tenner is too low because their resume is better than UGAs thus far by a lot.

That is because the polls have never respected Kentucky. They do in basketball, and even that has been a stretch lately.
You take our name away and look only at our schedule, and that team is a national title contender, but since it's Kentucky, nope.

After that performance yesterday I think Bama should be around 15-17. I love Bama but that was absolutely pathetic yesterday. We are looking at a real possibility of losing 4-5 games in the regular season. Unacceptable.

Next week, three weeks from now; point is still valid. Miami plays an awful game, gets bailed out by the officials and moves to number one. But in fairness both #1 and #2 got bailed out by officials.

And notice that they kept creeping BYU up in the rankings before the game.
