2019 LSU's defensive struggles are WAY overblown on this board because of one or two bad performances.

I'm sorry, my guy, but if you're trying to go for "best team of all time" you don't get to excuse bad performances. You are what your record says you are, and 2019 LSU's record says they were an elite offensive team coupled with an average (at best) defense.

Or, and this is also what the record says, they coasted through an unrelenting season with the best offense ever assembled while struggling with defensive injuries.

When they finished the season fully healthy, they dominated everyone thet played.

They were also a team that faced 7 of the top 50 team offenses in the country. Three of the top 6 offenses in the country. 6 of the top 28 offenses in the country.

So...give me some serious, non-trolling arguments here. What's your problem with that title being...a title?

7 of their opponents had a 0.500 or worse record.

They played Florida in the SEC championship. We know how poor Florida has been over the last 10 years so that says a lot about how awkward the season was.

They played Notre Dame in the semifinal. Notre Dame were beat 34-10 by Clemson in the ACC championship game. Notre Dame still made the playoffs.

Ohio state played 8 games the whole season including the national championship game. They went 5-0 in the big 10 regular season, and won the big 10 championship.

The season was a joke.

a team

Yeah, I got that. Funny part is it isnt that outlandish, when considering the shitshow of WW

Even without a team, Will Wade would accomplish the same as last year's LSU basketball team.

Quit complaining like a twat and move along.

Don’t forget Sam Montgomery and the Honey Badger. We had some grown arse men on defense. OBJ and Jarvis Landry too.

Sam Montgomery was a freshman in 2009.

The Honey Badger was a freshman in 2010.

Forget both of them.

2019 LSU?"by halfadolla50

2019 LSU was so lucky the worst referees in the history if CFB showed up to the Clemson Ohio State game.

Of course, if your team was good enough to not worry about the officials, you wouldn't have to make this statement.

LSU fans don't.

If he signed his NIL deal then yes. Remember the quarterback from Washington that was entertaining going to LSU and they were looking into his buyout.

I don't believe he has already been paid by Texas Tech and signed an NIL package. I could be wrong but I believe the buyout theyre referring to is just an inferred buyout, as in, how much of a package would we have to put together to get you to flip from Texas Tech.

I could be wrong.

Bono Waters going to Texas is the main one.

Wait. I was told TX didn't have time for portal stuff because they're playing in Omaha.

Jay's excuses are starting to lose their luster.

Looks like the exact thing that happened last year to LSU with Aiden Robbins just happened to Texas with Bino.

The only difference is LSU was actually mid Omaha playing when Aiden Robbins committed to Texas.

This year Texas is preparing for Omaha and LSU was able to get Bino to commit.

All while you're complaining acting like a woman.

I like LSU's approach this year. Stop trying to find every diamond in the rough and just go get the best players at the most important positions.

That has always been the priority. LSU was just beaten to several large portal targets last season while still competing in Omaha. Landon Mack was a priority target and Tennessee was able to pull him while LSU was in Omaha.

Aiden Robbins who has been an absolute stud for Texas this year was also a big priority. He visited LSU during the super regional against West Virginia last year. He committed to Texas while LSU was in Omaha.

LSU hasnt ever focused on "Diamonds in the rough." They just missed on some of their bigger targets last off season.

Although I disagree with everything these dumbasses have said regarding top 5 pick and bust, William Schmidt was the Perfect Game #5 overall recruit in 2024. As your link shows, Cameron Johnson was #11 overall.

I'm assuming they were picking over the portal scrap heap as well huh?

Probably has something to do with playing in the Sun Belt and not the SEC.

I'm not crazy about it for LSU because it will bring unwanted attention to our program in a negative way.

You know what else does that?

A 3-15 SEC record.
quote:

You Wade Nuthuggers gonna be good when the record this year will be worse than last year?

Well, the good thing is, we know that the record wont be worse than last year. Will Wade won't ever go 3-15 and finish last in the SEC.

Sorry if that upsets you.

You knew it was coming as soon as Guidry was brought into the game.

fricking ridiculous.
Terrible at bat from Serna there.

I am old enough to remember Marcus Freeman being at the 1 yard line for DC.

What does that make you? 6 or 7 years old?
Well, they're back in the champions league.

Looking at this season as a whole though, it'd have been nice to play Bruno as a 10 from the start of the year and you just wish United hadn't dropped points in a lot of the matches they did.

Fulham
Both against Leeds
Both against West Ham
Both against Bournemouth
The one draw vs Wolves
Everton at home.
Tottenham
Burnley

If they had just finished off 6 or 7 of those 11 matches.
Watching a good fielder catch a pop up with those "swirling winds" it looked pretty routine.
