Did Texas choose that on purpose?

Because it looks like Texas choose that look on purpose.

Luckily for everyone.. There are, at most, only two more opportunities for the nation to be offended by our turf.

Grass is going in once the regular season and any potential post season home game has been completed.

Whoever installed the turf are a bunch of idiots. The grain is going the wrong way.
If you ever watch the all 22 view/skycast, the color is exactly like the other turf colors you see in your post.

Stupid

Yes, going to grass next season. New multi-level practice facility opened recently will allow grass.
Texas campus is in downtown Austin, practice space is limited.

Depends on the perspective. Weird grain direction.

yeah, cameras in the endzone don't have that same glossy sheen as the normal camera angle.

I also think it's just the turf color/material, it's not bright green and it never has been. can see from 2010s games on youtube. just kinda dull/matte green and over the years has faded from the sun, increasing the shininess.

That ought to lower temps on the field in early season games, no? Might be offset by humidity though.

Theoretically, yes. But the September games will still be a bitch temperature wise no matter the surface.
