Is a modern outlaw program and I never thought that would happen in the NIL era.

There are no rules left, the NCAA should be done.

When there are no enforceable laws, it ain't that hard to be an outlaw.
No, they are just a bunch of douche bags with oil.

It'll get worse before it gets better.

Texas Tech will have lawsuits coming at them. Watch, and learn.

Cody Campbell(?), Ted Cruz, and the NCAA are using this to push their pool all media deals among the P4. Sorsby is just a piece in their game of chess.

All it takes is one billionaire who wants to win. It's the world we live in.

The irony with Tech is that Cody wants a seat at the super conference table but his bullshite with Sorsby ensures they'll never get that invite now.

It was guaranteed due to NIL.

I am not an attorney, but at some point, I could see a racketeering case being put together. The Texas AG and the Texas judges have made it pretty clear they are not going to take serious action against athletes that get caught betting on sporting events. This would cause an unfair recruiting advantage for universities in the State of Texas. Athletes that want to bet on their team could go there with the expectation there would be little consequences if they are caught betting.

Tech's main money man boasted that he would not be out bid by any school & warned : "I am coming after your best players in the future".

You do realize, there are a lot more schools in Texas besides Tech. Right?

Just bc a lawyer got one judge to bend in a Lubbock court and the Texas AG made a statement obviously based on Cody giving him tons of money, they about to get lots of response.

Like I said before, congrats on creating the worst brand in collegiate athletics. It's a terrible long term strategy.

This. 100% this.

That bill of Ted Cruz's has a lot of bullshite that we do not want in it. They are playing the old sleight of hand game by only talking about the good parts of it, using Sorsby to justify it all, meanwhile, Ol' Ted has his dick out and ready.

This is why I mentioned the Texas AG and Judges and not Texas Tech AD

I joke about aggy, but aggy is more like a goofy younger brother … I would much rather play in a league with aggy than with sleazy Texas Tech…

There are a lot of problems with this attitude, but the biggest that Campbell himself and the Tech alumni base are still small beer and outgunned in the arms race.

Phil Knight, as a patron of Oregon, is worth $31 Billion. Larry Ellison's girlfriend got him to step up and he is worth $200 Billion.

You also attract the underperforming merch types that Jimbo Fisher specialized in during his College Station tour.

At some point getting slapped down by the real programs will change the music a bit.
