I’m not really sure I understand what he means by that
On the field in wins and losses?
In NIL money?

Let’s face it Ewers was better than we all gave him credit for and Arch is not anything like what Horn fans hoped for
The question is, do you blame the players or the guy who failed to develop them. I blame the coach. A lot of our fans blame the players.
Just a lot of pissing and moaning over failed results, regardless of who's to blame. I'm just tired of it all. Being a horn can be fricking exhausting at times.

Hell, I've been wanting Sark to give Milwee a shot at it since last season, and there is nobody else who knows Sark's offense better.
I want him to land on his feet. None of my issues with him are personal. I just think he's an average head coach. We may do worse with the next guy, but it's a risk we need to take. This is not a guy who's capable of winning it all.
For example..while Kirby is busy micromanaging everything that happens with his team (including non stop chirping at the refs) Sark is squatting on the field listening to his assistants on his headset and trying to decide the next play on offense. Yes he was hired because of the offense he ran at Bama, but he was also hired to be CEO of the Texas Longhorns.

Well luckily there's a lot more to it than just football

1. I blame the coach for not realizing Arch was overhyped
2. Some players can’t be developed beyond a point.
3. I don’t think any of us believe that Sark has a real say in whether or not Arch plays qb though so it is what it is

My guess is playoff eligible teams? But I’m too lazy to research it.

unfortunately, I think the disfunction goes way beyond the offensive coordinator. Last season I would have agreed with you but this goes much deeper than who's simply calling plays.
Can that be fixed? no clue.

Hell no it can't be fixed with Sark. Dude is lost as frick out there, while acting all whiny and petulant to the press for asking legitimate questions.. Red flags all over the place. He gotta go.
It's like when Homer Simpson had a heart attack and his coworkers replaced him by tying a brick to a lever. We just need a brick to replace Sark.

believe me I've felt the same way this season but when you consider last season, a lot of these issues didn't exist (other than sark being outcoached by kirby and day). Something is going on with the team that didn't exist last season. I don't even pretend to know. Perhaps it really is just an issue with Sark being distracted by personal stuff. It's not as simple as "Arch sucks". He's the guy Sark wanted and the guy Sark has been coaching up (or down depending on how you look at it. ) Either way he gets paid a lot of money to run this program. if he can no longer do that, he needs to go.
If he does come back, one more year of this will take it out of his hands. He'll be gone.

I just think one more year will be a waste. Sark's troubles this year seem to run deep both personally and professionally. I mean you can literally point to 8-9 different problems easily with this team and do a deep dive on each one. It's just so fricked across the board, and everything's a mess. Add to that our rival's success and it's a titanic-level disaster.

I don’t know about the program, but they’ve definitely bombed this season.

Don't get me wrong, I agree. I want him gone. I'm just playing devil's advocate for those that want to give him more time.

Don’t be an auburn and run your coach off just because your rival is seeing some success.

I think your offensive problems start and end with your O-line play. Three players drafted will do that.

and a head coach who thought he could win with what we currently have. That can't be overstated.
That's mismanagement.

3 O-line players drafted and poor portal choices.
As for Arch, I wonder how much pressure was on the coaches to play him by the big donors that paid $6M a year for him.... Sark, and his coaching staff, may have not had much of a choice to play him over Ewers.
Note: Sark and those coaches may have been pushing the decision to pay Arch $6M also.....
