Utrans played the same schedule this year as last only they traveled this year. in 2024, TU had 3 road games away, Vandy, Arky, and ATM (excluding neutral site OK). Daunting first year schedule....

Since joining the conference Utrans has not played LSU, O Miss, or Alabama.

No one anticipated Florida's or Auburn's downfall or Vandy's rise when the schedules were set 3 years ago, nor did we anticipate you having to go to OT to beat Miss State and KY.

So instead of bitching with your 1 and 2/3rd's years of SEC experience, why don't you teach your beloved fans, from the formerly #1 team in the nation, not to chant "over rated" after beating Vandy at home this year. Nice job Sips. No hypocrisy here!
Kirby doesn’t even know how to clap (or call a time out).

Agreed with the portal movement. Any team can hit a home run or strike out in the portal.

The only thing you can count on the coaching staff to coach up whatever talent they bring in and that may not show until later in the season.

I think we will continue to see simpler systems allowing portal players to pick up the system quicker. The more complex the scheme, the harder it is for new portal players to adjust to.
This is true and unbelievable. The talking heads commonly leave out the loss to FL and talk about playing the #1 team in the country week 1. They also forget to mention going to OT with Miss St and Ky. I get it. A win is a win but are they the best 2 loss team in the country? Doubtful.

I really wish you'd stop this crap.

We play SC next, then Samford, and then yes, we play the sips and to say that game doesn't mean anything is ridiculous.

Regardless of where teams are record wise, that game will always mean something and if you don't recognize that, you didn't go to A&M or TU. TU will say that OK is their rival but go to their boards, and there is a 1700+ page thread on the Ags. Just stop.

I think if Elko stays, Texas 8&4 may be changing.

We haven't had a coach like this since Sherrill.

That 100 year Texas 8 & 4 team has beat LSU 2 years running.
Utrans is getting ready to understand that they aren't very good and luck is only going to get you so far.

The next three games are going to be fun to watch.
Just like they were favored by 2.5 two weeks ago in Death Valley. How did that turn out?

Less than 24 months SEC experience.....mmmmmm......ok.

Trying so hard to stay relevant. Squeaks by game by game but will have to pay the toll soon and knows it.
What coach, or what high profile manager, would take a job not knowing who their boss or bosses boss is?
I'm no expert on college politics but to not having a President or an AD, and recruiting for a football coach while the Governor of LA is making public statements is a pretty good sign of problems.

Certainly not a death sentence but a sure sign that it may take a year or two to settle down while everyone new adjust to each other.
He did put the Sexton thing together pretty well. I believe below is accurate. Sexton has his hands in all of these hirings and Woodward is right there with him.

Woodward hired Jimbo at ATM and then moved to LSU and hired Kelly. Both of these knuckleheads had Sexton as their agent.

Sexton was apparently Stoops agent also so when Stoops was almost hired at ATM. Sexton was replacing a client (Jimbo) with a client (Stoops).

After all that has gone with Woodward, ATM, LSU, Kelly, Jimbo, Stoops, and Sexton, it's not a far leap to think there could be things going on behind the scenes where everyone is getting a piece of the pie.

The former AD of ATM, hired after Woodward, was Bjork. Apparently, he doesn't have an agent but he offered the ATM job to Stoops prior to Board of Regents approval so that move really raises some questions. Bjork is not the AD of Ohio State.

All of this proves nothing but it sure raises questions......
Utrans has to be ranked regardless of how bad they look for 2 reasons:

The media has to try and save face for the preseason hype.

Everyone is trying to keep them relevant for TV ratings since they joined the SEC.

The plan last year worked. They had a really good team last year with a powder puff schedule and this year, with the same schedule and having to travel, are teetering on the edge of falling apart. It's very enjoyable to watch!
Dude. Take a pill or smoke a joint and settle down..... Holy cow.

But, but, but, Sark's an offensive genius.......

The media, including all the talking heads, set UTrans up for this fall and their entitled fan base rode it all the way. Now, they are realizing the SEC is different and you actually have to coach in this league to win.

BTW. Where are all these extra revenue dollars each team was going to get when UTrans and OK were added?

OK fits but UTrans should have gone west.

re: What is Florida's plan C coach?

Posted by AG87 on 10/23/25 at 8:52 am to
That is exactly what everyone has been asking. Where are all these super coaches or "the next Saban" coming from? Too many openings and too few proven coaches out there that are willing to move.

There may be one out there willing to move but to fill all these vacancies? Where are they coming from?

We may see a $15M per year coach (which is ridiculously stupid).
What makes college football the greatest sport?
Tradition, Loyalty, Culture....

What are we seeing today?
Coaches (many) and players (few) making generational money lacking the above.

The horse has left the barn but are there ways to control it?

re: Sark has always been a middling HC

This has been going on all season except the Sam Houston game. It was apparent during the OSU game also.

I think there are problems in the locker room even though Sark says the culture is fine.
