...and they claim that the SEC is overrated. The fact that the Texas kids are now going to Texas instead of A&M doesn't mean they could win with the Big 12 recruits they would have if they were not in the SEC. They had 3 years after announcing to build with SEC talent. Those fans are as dumb as they come. Geez....

I'll bet this sounded good in your head.

Texas changing conferences had nothing to to with Texas players choosing Texas over A&M.

Increasing difficulty in recruiting against the SEC in the State of Texas (read: A&M) was an important consideration in Texas migrating to the SEC.
After the July 2021 SEC announcement, Sarkisian IMMEDIATELY began to supercharge recruiting in SEC recruiting citadels: Florida, Louisiana, and now Georgia, Mississippi, and Alabama. Not to mention, of course, Texas.
Plus, Sarkisian has preserved his connections in California.
As long as Sarkisian is focused, Texas will do okay in the SEC.

Obviously we’ve known since 2021 that we’d be playing in SEC and Sark has been preparing accordingly. I don’t think it has anything to do with “stealing A&M recruits” as A&M has been recruiting just fine.

Texas was taking recruiting hits in Big 12. Once they announced SEC league change recruiting picked up and they addressed the trenches. It’s not that complicated to figure out.

Where can I find the list of possible 2026 SEC recruits and the 2026 list of possible BIG 12 recruits ?

yup, A&M did us the largest unintended favor ever.
we'd have probably tried to sneak out the back door to limit payouts, but the recruiting spike was a nice trade off

It's called recruit rankings from Rivals, on3.com and others . You might not be the sharpest knife in the drawer and...the Texas fans replies have confirmed my words. They needed SEC caliper players to compete in the SEC. The recruits they were getting being in the Big 12 wasn't going to do it. It's that simple.

Many high school players in Texas grow up rooting for Texas. They WANT to go there. Now, Texas has the money and it is legal to buy them. This might have been a "thing" prior to NIL... but it isn't any more.
Texas made a splash by overpaying (at the time)... their O line class from 2021.... Currently thirteen of the fifteen Texas three deep O lineman are Texas HS players. All are getting paid handsomely.

Not a bad comment
Sark has said since he got the job that he was building a team that could compete with the best in the nation. It just so happens that many of those teams are in the sec. This involves recruiting speed on the outside and big and talented players on the inside. So yes in many ways, Texas has been an SEC style program even before joining the conference

Would you people stop with this shite. No, we don't think the SEC is overrated. We love this conference because it is the best.
You're letting trolls win. They are idiots.

I honestly don't know what you're trying to argue here, but
I totally agree, you're a smart man, or
You are tarded and have no clue what you're saying.
Take your pic. Oh, and also keep in mind aggy's best year in the SEC was their first...with a team that was middle pack Big12 the year before, and they definitely didn't have 3 years to prep.
