Beard was choking a woman. He is 100% gone. There is no saving him.

What's your source cause I'm not believing anything anyone says until there is proof to back up the source.

Except that shirt is literally the opposite of the point you're trying to make.

Texas had that shirt made in response to allegations made by an Ohio State assistant coach, who actually did put hands on his wife, to Tom Herman, none of which alleged any sort of domestic abuse.

Texas made those shirts from a response Tom had to a text message after threatening him with allegations (again - none of which claimed he had abused anybody).

The money made from the shirts were sent to an anti domestic abuse shelter.

This is pretty sad even for you, Sarge...

His fiancé allegedly filed the complaint for choking her and he was arrested and charged. I’d say that’s pretty solid proof, turbo.

We would all be impressed except for the fact that starting point guard for the Longhorns had been arrested over the summer for assaulting his girlfriend and the school did nothing about it.

That is also incorrect.

Arterio Morris, who is not the starting PG btw, was charged with assault over the summer, and the charges were immediately dropped. Texas reported everything to the Title IX office, and he was cleared to play while they continue the investigation. If anything had come out, he would not be playing.

Again, try not to post when you don't know what you're talking about.

Alleged complainant apparently does not want to press charges and asking for his release…

This is silly. I don’t know what happened in this instance. But there’s plenty of schools that have had credible accusations against athletes die in a Title IX investigation to only resurface when the athlete is charged again. And again.

Really?

This was from 4 weeks ago. Charges were most definitely not immediately dropped.

Arterio Morris

Texas' Arterio Morris eligible amid misdemeanor assault case

Associated Press
Nov 3, 2022

AUSTIN, Texas -- Texas freshman Arterio Morris remains eligible to play while prosecutors decide whether to pursue a misdemeanor assault charge stemming from an alleged summer altercation the player had with an ex-girlfriend, coach Chris Beard said Thursday.

Morris was not suspended after his June 2 arrest, and Beard said there has been no change in his status as the No. 12 Longhorns prepare for Monday night's season opener against UTEP.

Morris was a top national recruit coming out of Dallas. The guard led Texas with 19 points in an exhibition win over No. 10 Arkansas last week.

"Arterio continues to do what he's supposed to do on a day-to-day basis here," Beard said. "We're holding all of our players accountable for what they are supposed to be doing, but in terms of that situation I can't comment. I've been asked not to comment on it. As soon as we know something, we'll let you guys know."

Jamie Beck, first assistant district attorney for Denton County, said prosecutors there are still reviewing whether to pursue charges.

Beck said her office only recently received the case and the delay from the June 2 arrest is not an indication whether the case will proceed or be recommended for dismissal.

Morris declined comment Thursday.

According to Frisco police, Morris was arrested after officers were called to the ex-girlfriend's house. She told police she and Morris had broken up the day before and that a relative who didn't know about the breakup let him inside.

The woman told police Morris grabbed her arm and pulled her off a bed, then grabbed the front of her sports bra, which she said caused in a injury on her neck.

Police reported seeing a 3-inch abrasion on the woman's neck and arrested Morris on a charge of assault causing injury to a family member, which includes dating relationships in Texas.

Morris declined to say Thursday if he has met with the school's Title IX investigators.

"The appropriate people are working on it, pretty much on a daily basis," Beard said. "The University of Texas is making those decisions."

Beard was asked if it's his decision to determine his roster, or if he's received instructions from the university administration on Morris.

"I can't talk about this situation," Beard said. "This in the hands of the people that I work for at the university."

Texas spokesman Brian Davis said, "The university does not comment on student matters."

I am sure she is realizing the gravy train is going to end. Even if there is video showing Beard never touched the woman, he needs to be fired. You can't make this kind of money in a state job and allow your life to be a whirlwind of alcohol and calls to police. I don't care if Beard gets a 2nd chance somewhere else, fine, but he is out at Texas.

Yeah, I remember Oklahoma Prez David Boren trying to explain how his title IX office missed Dede Westbrook's two separate domestic violence arrests. This was after the school tried to paper over and hide Joe Mixon shattering a girls jaw on camera.
