very similar situation, agreed. I wonder why LSU is scared. Sad!

No doubt Tulane would be a tougher opponent than Faggie.

Are you trying to insinuate going out in Austin is really expensive or something...because it’s not What an odd comment

La Quinta and Waffle House don’t factor into my eval.. Austin has undeniable features most “college towns” can’t offer & those features are significantly more expensive.

Google “times zones & international travel” and no.. running to IHOP does not count.

I just wish Mizzou and A&M never joined the conference. They really don't belong here. I'm not saying they can't compete but you've got almost no history between any of the schools compared to what was here before. It's like one of your parents got remarried and your new step brother and you just don't have compatible interests but your parents make you hang out anyway.

Because Arkansas and South Carolina had so much history?

We all know it wasn't about history either. It was about TV markets. Both Missouri and Texas were delivered.

But if are talking history A&M has one with Arkansas & LSU. There are even some nice previous bowl matchups and shared coaches between A&M & Bama. With Mizzou coming along too, we have our Big 12 history with them.

Actually, we did have a history with SEC teams, especially while we were independent which was from 1971 until we joined the SEC ourselves.

ETA: What is it with y'all dickriding taters lately? Coots is their nickname for us...and a fricking retarded one at that.

Like how the A&M/Arkansas series is one of the most played rivalries in the league? Or how LSU has played A&M more than many other schools in the SEC, even founding members? Yes, dumbass, you've played us more than you've played Auburn, Georgia, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, and obviously SC.

TAMU is a Land Grant University, who's founder's had ties the Confederacy. We were in the SIAA with you and we are one of the most conservative universities in the nation. So what part of this culture thing are we missing? The part where we really want to be here? Or the mistake we made of not being here all along?

Just like a USC fan to obsess about Clemson when no one is talking about them.

You had a series with Georgia for a while. Other than that it was a handful of games vs SEC teams just like A&M.

Who's obsessing? It's a fact that coot is the nickname they came up with for us and they are still pretty much the only ones that refer to us as that. Also a fact that you brought it into this thread, not me.

I mean, I understand y'all might feel somewhat of a kindred spirit with them since they have a thing with fingering guy's assholes and balls, but still.

We played someone from the SEC almost every single year. A little more than a "handful" by most people's standards.

TAMU was in the old SIAA and has a history with several SEC schools prior to admission.

SC was in the old SIAA and has a long history with many SEC schools.

Hogs had some history but with TAMU now in SEC they have a long term SWC rival again.

Missouri really had no history with SEC schools and probably has been the source of much of the anti Mizzou sentiment. However, they are here now so deal with it.

They certainly fit in more culturally but if I"m being fair in an ideal world the SEC would still only be at 10 teams.

Completely irrelevant in the context of the SEC tho.
