we have always said anytime, anyplace, anywhere. However Former sip AD Deloss Dodds told USA today:

"If you did a survey of our fans about playing A&M, they don't want to. It's overwhelming. I know. I hear it. Our fans are important to us. I think there's got to be a period where things get different. I think there's too many hard feelings."

Guess they don't want to play us.

I definitely miss that old Nebraska/Oklahoma matchup at the end of the year back in the 80's. Two option teams going at it.
It was must see TV with no games going up against it without the proliferation of cable.
You had to make sure you blocked out that window on Sat afternoon.

We seem to be having enough trouble beating a perennial 3rd place SECw power in the state next to us. We got our hands full at the moment.

Are you trying to insinuate going out in Austin is really expensive or something...because it’s not

What an odd comment

people just need to accept this isnt the 40s anymore and that shite has changed. a&m and UT arent/werent this inseparable pair like other large instate schools are.

Nothing to do with the era. utx/atm would still be hooked to each other if it werent for a small window of opportunity that was taken advantage of by Gov Perry and gang, and the SEC.

It is the Longhorn modus operandi. When Arkansas left the SWC it was quite some time before Texas was willing to schedule us again... and that was with Darrel Royal and Frank Broyles being close friends.

They've leaned on the other conference members to black ball playing A&M during the regular season... something that they did when Arkansas left back in the day as well.

It isn't just the SWC refugees either. You will note that Nebraska and Oklahoma won't renew their series until 2021 and that Kansas is avoiding Mizzou like they owe them money.

They will play again. Its only a matter of time.

This was one great rivalry

Not really...Oklahoma is Texas' rival. A&M is no more a rival of Texas than Arkansas was before they left for the SEC. Much ado about nothing except in the eyes of the aggies.

3rd generation Aggie who grew up with season tickets. Game was fun in the 90s, but the series is dated and is dead. The only people crying for it are the shorthorns student body because they dont have a home game that will sell out and gristly old reporters who think it is 1983. There isn't a demand to renew it full-time. The next time we play It will be blown out of proportions, but there isn't a lasting demand long-term. Missouri-Kansas should come back first, and would have to if you want the game on THANKSGIVING weekend since that would free up Arkansas and l$u to play.

They created the mess they are in. Broke a perfectly good conference. Nebraska left a great rivalry with OU because of them.

The best town to visit (Boulder) left cause of them.

It is pretty wild to think how the Big12 didn't used to suck. It was a legit big league conference. Texas ruined it. Not a surprise.

Aggies made them quit in the 90's. They even reneged on a contract and still owe us money.

They have gotten lucky since we came to the SEC but that worm will turn and there will be no way for them to hide.

Right now they own us but that will change soon.
