Did you feel the teams were similar or vastly different last year? What is it like playing the 2 fastest offenses in the nation?

UT had one of the slowest defense in the nation so it was awesome.

Were you worried about your players' safety.

We got raped.

Tough to watch doesn't begin to cover it. The 1st quarter against AU was fun to watch. Once Gus put the pedal down, I wanted to gouge my eyes out. The same with Oregon, just swap the first quarter with the first drive.

I felt like Oregon was better, but hard to judge since Oregon was much earlier in the season and on the road.

Oregon's pace is just on another level from anything else I've seen in person.

If you control the LOS against Oregon their offense can never really get going...this is what happened when they played us in 2011 and Stanford in 2013. As for the AU/UT game Auburn hasn't dominated an opponent like tat in a long long time. I feel like we could have named the score.

Auburn did not do anything special that day. We have been dominated like that regularly. Oregon and Bama both worse than AU last season alone.

It is painful how far off you are with this.

I know this is just a fap thread for you, but, really, you need better masturbation material. Tennessee was just mediocre-to-bad last year, excepting their bizarre upset of USCe.

We were mediocre to bad last year, but USC wasn't the the only decent game last year. We pushed UGA to overtime and should have won that game.

I enjoyed the Auburn game last year. And the Oregon game in 2011. Came away unimpressed with both teams.

Granted, y'all did well against UGA. I left them off because of the injury issues and not wanting to get that discussion started.

Oregon made it a priority to beat us around the edge. They knew we didn't have the speed to contain them. Once they hit some long runs, they started killing us with the play-action pass.

The Auburn game was more depressing. They ran like 3 plays the entire game and we couldn't stop them.
Right up the middle with Mason or Marshall keeping it.

Oregon had more speed overall and tempo was much faster, but Auburn had more punch.

we are not really a high pace offense like everyone thinks

WE go fast at times but for them most part, we just get set early

We don't run that many plays

ToP: #61 Auburn 30:01

this is what hides our speed.

we score so fast that our D is on the field for the majority of the game.

our offense is Score or 3&out.

3rd Down Conv: #61 Auburn 5.9

i wouldnt say we werent fast last year, but we hadnt perfected it and we are playing SEC Ds and SEC Os who like to control the ToP

Gus has never gone fast for the sake of going fast, when he does go fast it is usually because there is a match up that can be exploited and the same play is ran until it is stopped.

Other wise, yes he has his team rush to the line to prevent subbing.

You are also correct his teams do not run that many plays, the play book is not very thick.
