We liked him even though his defenses sucked because when he spoke to the media he didn't give us Butch coach speak. I think he hated Butch. Sometimes he would say something that completely contradicted Butch.
He was in charge of 2 of the worst defenses in UT history, but the blame falls on Butc...

Well Gruden did spend the entire weekend on campus, went to the game, and spent time with Fulmer, the AD, and boosters - so he returned a call.

A loss at home to SC and a decent chance he is fired before Bama. Still probably a greater chance he coaches against Bama even with an SC loss, and then 100% chance he is gone after Bama beatdown. ...

Actually, that was Mike Hamilton. Fulmer had a great class coming in and talent returning when he was let go. He had Bryce Petty and Tahj Boyd committed. ...

Butch has a freshman QB on campus right now who could keep him around for another 2-3 years. Jarrett Gaurantano has incredible potential and is a perfect fit for our offense.
However, recruiting on the defensive side of the ball is slipping.
In short, Mac will be gone first. ...
