Hand your starting QB gig (and team future) to a 17 yr old based purely on paying the highest dollar and this is what you get.

I’m still convinced that Dabo has the last laugh and his model of loyalty to players and demanding loyalty to the school in return ends up being the winning path. Pay fair compensation but don’t sell the program when a player/parents/agent are unreasonable.

He gone

Who are you wishing him to go to? LSU? That would keep Tennessee from making the playoff over LSU.

If I'm Tennessee, I'd say bye. He was okay, but not like he was on the cusp of a Heisman last year. If you're gonna demand a huge surge in pay, earn it.

This past weekend, I saw a cartoon that perfectly captures the current state of college athletics. The setting was a basketball arena, and an exasperated referee asks the head coach if his players are still in the locker room. The coach replies, "No, they are all in the transfer portal."

Sounds like the kind've guys who might transfer

I hate this for Tenn. I believe that football is taking a disproportionate share of the transfer portal issues as guys have to sit a few years and develop physically far more than in other sports.

Heck, everyone is assuming that Nico is trying to get more money.

Maybe Tennessee is making him take a pay cut.

You do realize that every single conservative on the SCOTUS signed off on this when they could have stopped it.

I usually take great pleasure in troubles for UT, but this just irritates me. College sports are a disaster and it is getting worse.

This mfer wasn't even that good last year.

And they would have based their ruling on what? "this would not be good for college football"?
