This was a bipartisan screw job - all 9 out of touch elites on the SCOTUS fricked college sports.

Yeah the previous system of making hundreds of millions of dollars on essentially free labor whole preventing players making a dime was awesome.

Explain how the decision was because they were out of touch?

They do not have to be huge fans to be asked to do a favor for the school.

I don’t disagree but it would appear that the infrastructure isn’t there to get people to do the favors.

I may be way off but a lot of the people you listed don't care much about football or have not put a ton of effort into it the program. The "go to USC and be in showbizness" line is old. I may be totally off but that doesn't seem to happen.

With the tools he has to recruit

I know USC backed up the truck for the DL from Aug but do they really have a well oiled NIL machine. The LA tools they used to be able to leverage are not nearly as big as they once were.

it is a shame that they cannot put a retractable roof in the Superdome because

Why in gods name would you want to pay the money to open the stadium. There maybe one game a year that you would do it for. Now more natural light in the dome would be great.

If my kid was a major college football player I would have him hit the portal every year to strike a new deal. It is what it is at this time.

If your kid was not a key player he would be told to take a hike. In what world are a bunch of O-linemen who were not good except maybe one, going to have any leverage to re-negotiate with LSU? They are going in the portal because they were likely told there will be new competition coming in and no job is safe.

2 minute warning and Tenn had time outs.

Telling guys that you are bringing in competition isn’t processing someone. Keep in mind this line was god awful. They didn’t tell Adams to look elsewhere it could have been you may have to move or your NIL is being reduced.

I am assuming they told the current linemen that there will be a lot portal players coming at their spot.

after every year, guys on a traditional track to being drafted after three years, are entering the portal for a pay raise.

You have no idea why they are going in the portal. Money plays a part but so does depth chart and plenty of other issues.

You will not get the NCAA

NCAA has nothing to do with the playoffs.

Only care about the money. You seriously think players leave simply for a coach?

If a school is offering money that is some what close and that player sees playing better/more as a way to make money, they are damn sure looking at the coach. Great a kid makes some money but then doesn't fit into the new coaches scheme and riding the bench, they care about coaches.

If Portnoy is still throwing money at the program

While he is giving money, Portnoy is not the one who will keep things going. Players having no idea who will be their coach or coordinator two years from now will mean anyone worth a shite will bail.
This has been an issue for years and done of the reasons Southwest is going to assigned seating. Apparently every flight from NYC to Florida is slammed with this people.
If ND played a normal schedule this game would not be as big of a deal. Lately (when USC has had a pulse) it has been an ND game to pay attention to because the rest of their schedule was dog shite. USC had no reason to fly cross country again when they are already playing a deep B10 schedule.
Find a way to field to a good offense and defense. Something that has alluded LSU since 2019.

That’s a generic coach speak answer. Of course he was on their list he was on everyone’s list who needed a QB.
I would imagine it would be some what smaller. Would also be smaller because students are gone and I dont think there is ton of student tickets made available. Still wild but different.

It's not the standing up people don't like, its standing up and trying to rush to the front of the plane.
His burst was not there because he got injured again this year.
The Falcons loss was how you want to lose to tank. Be in the game to the last minute and just have out of your grasp. You aren't going to the playoffs so just be competitive.
