This x100000. Other than the NFL experience the Super Bowl in New Orleans was like someone was throwing a party at your house and you could only go in one room.
Also the location of the stadium in Santa Clara really makes it even more difficult for fans.

Innsbruck is great town that is not to big or small and is close to everything you mentioned. You are 2 hours from Munich and Bolzano. Hallstatt is very close along with Salzburg. It also is pretty easy to fly into Munich and get from the airport to the train station.
