The main thing to know about University of Florida football fans is that the vast majority of them operate with the idea that college football began in 1990 and didn't count at all until 1991. Prior to that any conversation about college football with a fan of the University of Florida would quickly change to a conversation about the weather or ANYTHING other than college football which began, as any true Gator will tell you, in 1991. GO DAWGS!

Like most fanbase the ones that have been around and seen the ups and downs are fine. Thought the OU fanbase at the Rose Bowl was a lot of fun

They have some trashy sidewalk fans but so do most other schools. Not nearly as bad as LSU though. The absolute trash of the conference. You'll see.

Never been to a game there but I’d like to go. I had friends go and I hear they are tough on Open Container on game day. This has been like 10 years ago but I think you are good if you drink out of cup. Other places might be the same but not that way at Auburn.

I can tell you this as a guy who grew up a Florida fan and went to UGA. The good and bad in both fanbases are strikingly similar. The Southern guys, that went to school there, remember when they sucked, have some self awareness, and have made something of themselves are fantastic. Same with UGA fans. The uncle Lou’s of the UGA fanbase and the Jersey Shore element of the Florida fanbase are insufferable. You find a real Florida cracker that went to UF he’ll be one of the coolest mfr’s you’ll ever hang around.

Most of these stories are from under the Machen era at UF, he was pretty strict about that stuff. It hasn't been that way in some time.

As the UGA guy told it when they are good that's when they can be some real ***holes. Luckily for most of the SEC lately that hasn't been the case. LSU, UGA and even Kentucky has been beating them lately. So right now they are perfect .

Before going to Gainesville; get your shots, all of them. Look at the CIA travel recommendations for everywhere and get all the shots. Ask your healthcare provider for the peanut butter shot too. And wear a condom. Not just during sex but all the time.
