I've never been to Gainesville. Don't really know any UF alums or fans. But if the rumors are true, we may be playing them every year.

The Florida fans on this site seem pretty cool. I'm just looking to know what to expect should we be travelling there for games.

Thanks

Gainesville has its charms but is mostly pretty trashy.

They are said to wear jorts

They get pissed if you interrupt their long standing tradition of playing Tom Petty.

I've been there a few times and have never had a problem with Gator fans.

See if you can get them to agree to a neutral site game in Florida, like in Orlando or Jacksonville in football because they hate to leave the state.

There honestly are two types. There are the Joey wearing full on rednecks you wound see at a nascar race and then there are a bunch of normal southern football fans.

You have the respectable alums, then you have a bunch of the overall-wearing types.

If by charms you mean shitty fans and police that bust your balls over every open container, then yes, it is charming.

They are a much easier lot to deal with when they are not good, which has predominantly been the case since Meyer left. I'd wait to judge them until they get their shite together.

That describes them as a whole.

It’s really the case for every fanbase in the conference.

Hey if you like meth then you’ll be in the right place. Instead of the normal alcoholic beverages that every other fanbase decides to indulge, meth is the drug of choice for the Gaytor faithful.

They like to cancel games due to hurricanes but not seek an alternative solution while blaming the other school

Especially that one year we let Georgia come to town.

there's nothing good natured about their razzing. It's not "tiger bait" with a smile and an offer of a beer. First game at Florida Chris Collingsworth was playing (yeah i'm old as shite), last game was also a long time ago not exactly sure when to be honest. Won't go back. ever.

Play FSU in Florida this season. That’s a reach to go back 32 years.

You mean it's a reach to look at the entire history?

Also nice quick correction on the math, did you have to take off your shoes?

Probably not supposed to say this, but I've been to multiple WLOCPs and have never had a problem with Florida fans. For the most part, don't act like an arse and people will treat you well.
