Bama was caught sleeping by a QB who played the game of his life
It happens

Preseason multiple bama players were giving interviews about how Deboer changed practice times to early mornings to dodge the heat of the day.
They said that the “feel” in the locker room was less strict and business-like.
When I heard that I knew Bama would be soft.
Don’t get me wrong, they still win lots of games and probably make playoffs….
But the players are clearly softer.

The irony is that Bammers here unmercifully trashed Auburn for losing to that same quarterback.

Yea, I don’t like it. Act like you’ve been there before. The whole sport, college and pro has been taken over by prima donas

I felt the same. IMHO, what made Saban the goat was his discipline of players and staff

Players by and large looked uninspired. Very docile. Why?
This is a question that every team not coached by Saban asks itself during certain games all year.

Beat y’all up and down the field for 4 quarters & they might win again if y’all played tomorrow.
Own it.

The main takeaway was when Vandy took away Alabama's sense of dignity and worth.
Ouch ! That's going to leave a mark !

I'm enjoying the Bama folks talk about how if they win the turnover battle, then they would've won, easily.
My, how the turntables...

Honestly written. After the win v my Dawgs, Saban said DeB needed to keep the pressure up for 4 quarters in the SEC. Not sure your new HC appreciated the comments. On the other hand Saban was a master college HC. I’m hoping the Dawgs get another shot at DeB but I’m not so sure Bama makes the 12 team playoffs if they don’t meld. I’m concerned about the Dawgs too but we kicked Auburn’s arse.

DeBoer halftime speech to team,… you can only do what you can,…. Huh!?

4. No run game. Why? Bama has two really good running backs. If defense can’t stop Vandy then offense should grind on ground and run clock. Why did DeBoer not do this for this game and 2nd half Georgia?
This is the number one question if I am an Alabama fan.
I get it, but Alabama changed their run/defense identity several years ago. They turned into a pass first offense. And, with Williams there it is hard to run instead of pass.
Plus, in fairness Alabama threw 24 passes yesterday and ran the ball 21 times. Pretty even considering they were behind a good portion and trying to catch up.

I knew this was going to be a problem when he was encouraging players to celebrate in practice.
I noticed last week, Alabama's players seemed more mouthy that in the past. I would see it occasionally in the past, but it seemed like every play last week.

That and for the next week they are allowed to say "Vanderbilt football, it just means more!"

No,you're absolutely right. Everyone saw you score so why draw attention to yourself. Jobs not finished.

I also wasn’t used to seeing Bama players standing over guys after a tackle or acting like heroes for making basic tackles. I know you ol boys can’t be pleased.
