Hey, Kentucker - If y'all would put a dome over Kroger Field and add some climate control, you wouldn't need Rupp Arena anymore. I'm pretty certain your basketball team could get every seat filled! (I just wish it was still called "Commonwealth Stadium." That name really meant something.)

UK did that and cut capacity by 7,000 seats

We’ve dropped like 600 M. It’s not that comparable and we’re about to do more.

And now we know why OU wants in the SEC. CFB attendance doesn't dwindle in the SEC. Of course, if OU and UT(A) are admitted to the SEC, they will see more dwindling of fan attendance at their stadiums as the home crowd gets tired of seeing their teams get their asses handed to them.
And no one travels better than the SEC (outside of maybe OSU and Clemson)

The horns have had dwindling attendance but us allowing them into the sec will help them a lot

UK sold the naming rights to Kroger, staying with the pro theme. They also did it with Rupp Arena. Central Bank bought the rights but didn’t want to eliminate the name of Rupp so it’s now the Rupp Arena at Centrlal Bank Center. I can see other SEC schools following our lead in this extra revenue move.
BTW, Rupp Arena has been renovated as well.

Expanding stadium sizes, at this point, seems to be a waste of money. Attendance has been on the decline for years - with most folks opting to stay home and watch the game on their large flat screen/projection TV and save the expense. I think most schools will really start focusing on improving the amenities within their stadiums, rather than expanding at this point.
Exactly right....UK elected to reduce capacity by 8,000 and add chairback style seating, more suites, and more fan amenities. They can still add back capacity to over 76k by adding endzone upper decks.
I believe amenities wise and modernization that UK now has one of the nicer stadiums in the SEC

Folks on the Ole Miss board were hyping Uk’s recent renovation as we are hoping ole miss does something similar. Make the stadium comfy and aesthetically pleasing with built in acoustics advantages.

That looks really nice. It needed it, gotta admit I was a little underwhelmed with how Rupp looked before for a program on UK's level.
Arkansas recently sent out a survey about renovations to Bud Walton but it probably won't be anything that drastic. Mostly adding things like this to the inside:
They asked about interest level in an augmented reality pod as well which is weird:

You may be right, but the articles I've read say the second phase was put off to a later date and I'm not seeing anything referencing a $500,000,000 renovation.
We did not do the full renovations. Original design included an upper concourse on the north side and a redo of the west upper deck and press box. Those have not been done.
The latest round of upgrades was not near $500 million.
I think the OU poster here is trying to troll.
