ND State lost in the finals of Division 2. They probably could have beaten South Carolina last year.

Sure, with Trey Lance starting. Zeb was his backup. South Carolina is starting a walkon who most recently was a backup D2 school QB in 2019 and had quit football to pursue coaching until like a month ago

If he plays against UK probably going to throw for 300 yards and 4 TD's. We do that with any kind of backup, even a grad assistant.

And there will be at least 70k fans in Williams-Brice on Saturday to watch this abortion of a team. We better enjoy it because Eastern Illinois could easily be our only win this season.

He will likely start next week at East Carolina and at worst will start week 3 vs Georgia. I expect South Carolina is going to run it down the throats of EIU and ECU so I could be starting at QB and it wouldn't change much. So long as Doty is ready to go against Georgia it'll be fine.

That’s not true
He was NDSUs starter for 7 games, for their 2020 season which was played in the spring of 2021
And they are not D2

Not saying he’s at all a good QB, just like people have said, they didn’t just pull this guy from the street with no experience at all

Thanks for the context.

So yeah, hopefully running the ball is enough for the first two weeks.

Well to be fair he wasn’t the starter in the playoffs
I dont know enough about their roster or what happened but freshman Cam Miller played the game against SDSU and then their two games in the playoffs

Kevin Harris is a workhorse/stud, so we should use him as such. Especially against EIU and ECU. We will obviously need to be able to pass vs. UGA.

Y'all should be able to beat 3-4 teams just with those backs you have. Assuming the offensive line is serviceable.

I'd imagine Doty could play this weekend if he had to.

But there is absolutely 0 reason to risk Doty vs Eastern fricking Illinois.

We as a fanbase should actually be happy. This is only our 2nd cupcake opener in the past 10 seasons. They've usually been SEC or ACC opponents.

We have one of the better RB groups in the SEC. But that is about the only highlight unfortunately.

Did you know Zeb Noland is from Oconee County Highschool and his Dad is the Head Football Coach at OCHS.

Why is this even interesting?
Because OCHS is where Max Johnson (LSU) played his high school ball and his brother future LSU TE is currently at. So his dad has coached all 3.
Z. Mettenberger also attended OCHS. Kumar Rocker went to North Oconee 4 miles away (the other public school) and Current Gatorade player of the year Brock Vandagriff and Current UGA QB is also from Oconee County (Although he attended Prince Avenue Christian School).

All of this within 10 minutes of UGA's Campus....

In short Athens Area football and baseball rules....
OR
a little tiny high school in the suburbs of Athens accounts for 14% of the starting QBs in the SEC..
OR
If Vandagriff is called into action at UGA. Oconee County will account for 21% of the starting QB's in the SEC...

USC fans didn't run RH3 out of Columbia.

the entire fan base was torching the shitbag coaching all 10 games last season for not playing him.

- the POS Bobo Clownass and Mushcamp ran RH3 off by week 3 last season. All by themselves.

May they both burn in football Hell.
