So Kiffin really hasn't changed all that much.

He has just had more years of practice being a douche. I can't respect any coach, leaving any team, that is primed for a playoff run. One should finish what they start and honor their commitments. What makes LSU think he will not leave them in a similar predicament somewhere down the road?

He was becoming likeable again, but this gonna set him back for sure

It sounds like Ole Miss didn’t give him an option to leave or not to leave. What would you like him to do? Force his way to continue coaching the team?

He got a much better job opportunity and it wasn’t going to wait around for him. He tried to coach ole Miss through the playoffs, but they said no, which I understand, but you’re saying he should’ve pass on a once in a lifetime career opportunity?

Ummm..... He already had those opportunities at Oakland and USC.

If the NCAA calendar was as it should be, it would not have been as nasty. He would have finished the season, Ole Miss would have competed in the playoffs, then he would leave for better job.

Spin it however you want to help you rationalize it, but Bama is far from alone in seeing this for what it is.

And what is it exactly?
LSU went out and hired their coach.

Agree. And I’m an LSU fan .. probably one of the few who’d be ok if he wasn’t coming.

Did you post this about Brian Kelly a few years ago?

20 years ago. He's was like 30 years old at the time. Kiffin is a much better coach today.

Dude was literally in his 30s lol. Nick Saban at that age was a defensive coordinator at Michigan state

He’ll leave for the NFL again in a couple of years.

They were getting ready to build statues in Oxford; at LSU, he will be out of a job if he can’t win a national title in the next 3 seasons. Doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me, but you can’t make a ho a housewife.
