As a parent of 3 children, now young adults, I cannot imagine.

I do follow your page and am so saddened for you all. I will be praying for you.
God bless yall and safe travels home.

I know those guys and gals appreciate you all and are really well.
I shared with so many friends .. thank yall for doing the Lords work!

Stay warm out there. It’s nasty cold.

Curiosity question : are yall 100% donation based?
My daughter just got power back .. Oxford, Ms. a few hours short of 7 full days.
Oh man. Good on you for helping the neighbors.

Very sorry about your pet. :wah:

(Where do you live??)
No she’s home in south Louisiana .. left ahead of the storm — she was prepped and ready for a few days of no electricity but got nervous about low temps and being too cold so she came home.

My daughter is home from Oxford .. she still has no power there. And poor thing is sick as a dog .. glad she’s here and not stuck there.
I’ve shared the heck out of this with friends in Oxford. God bless yall!!

Donation from me done.

I’m dumb with this .. what difference does it make? (Not me sounding like Hilary)
Safe travels and bless yall for being His hands and feet.

Where can I find where yall will be to be able to share info?

Some professors are emailing their students about assignments .. basically saying if you chose to leave to go to an affected area and can’t get back oh well. Idk what class or prof but parents are livid.

Also 8 frat houses have water and o e had a fire from what I gather.

It’s a shite show for sure.

Grove took a big beating.

Water is being suspended in areas to be able to find the leaks.

School suspended until 2/8 .. well OM is.

Many students going home which will help reduce people out and about and work can get done.
NEMEPA said that all of their substations are good to go so that should help. :dunno:
Yep. Oxford has lows a few days of 11, 12, 17. N

I mean … that’s insane.
File a claim. Have your policy handy.

Best I have is take pics of EVERYTHING EVERYTHING EVERYTHING!!!

Make needed emergency repairs (tarping etc) and keep all receipts.

I know people who’ve had to file (not sure what they’re called) but appeals .. requests for a second adjuster etc if they felt they were being screwed.

Best wishes to you. (Shreveport area?)
What was that movie — Day After Tomorrow?? Kinda like that.
Yep. It’s all insane. I’m in south Louisiana so we’re familiar with disasters with hurricanes.

But a disaster of this magnitude in these temps is unthinkable.

And the people saying no one is doing anything … ice is different. You don’t know exactly where to stage things. And even if you get the right area you can’t necessarily get it where you need it.

I worry about the itty bitty towns/areas that still can’t get out .. when will someone get to them?? And the elderly are heavy on my mind.

It’s all a lot. Again I’m so selfishly glad that my girl came home last Friday.
MemphisGuy OM just sent email —
No classes until February 8 as of now. With students leaving it’ll be easier for power crews/restoration crews to get around.

There are so many other little towns that need help although I’m not there and not connected to any.
When will y'all be? I can share info.

My daughter is home with us in south Louisiana thank the good Lord. And again, God bless y’all for the work that yall do.
Idk where you are or what you have. Oxford MS people are on day four without power.

Lots of firewood. Lots of gas/fuel. Chainsaw/fuel to it your way out of your driveway/neighborhood if you need to. Water water water for drinking and toilets — water is having to be shut off to homes due to pressure issues .. they’re having to do it to divert to hospital. These are the things I see people asking for the most.

Lord bless yall.
