Everybody needs to settle down about the buy out shite. Yes, it is frick ton of money and it is absurd what the sport and schools have gotten themselves into with coaches pay and NIL. On that, everybody can agree.
If and when the time comes to part ways, this will all be handled in a business like fashion. The first step will be a private separation meeting and then negotiations to reducing it to some level based on a detailed performance review. He will take something less and be allowed to continue his coaching career somewhere else. It will most surely be paid out over years and amortized like any other capital expenditure. That's how these things work. So, bottom line is the buyout will not stop UA from firing him. A mistake will have been made by many people including Nick Saban who endorsed the hire if what we read is true. It is what it is, and both sides will move on. Will not stop them from finding a new coach. Just need to get it right this time. I don't believe athletic directors should be given full power to hire a coach these days. With the money being spent now, most of these guys are business managers first and not necessarily talent evaluators.
One last thing. The fans will also be partially on the hook for this money. You better believe ticket prices will go up in revenue sports, and basketball will pay a hefty part of the price. I decided 2 years ago I was not going to pay to watch this stuff anymore, but I am sure I am not in the majority on that. I just don't have an interest in minor league sports.

Not interested in calling anyone a punk, but they are paid mercenaries now. Criticism is OK and warranted when your entire team and coaches shite the bed like they did today. Comes with the territory, so suck it up buttercup.

They give out Pulitzer Prizes for this shite now.

frick all that. The sliding trip tackle attempt was all I needed to see. Not a leader. Take my chances with another player not as talented but can will a team to win on the road against tough SEC comp. Some good wins and I wish him well, but hope to see a real competitor at QB for Alabama football in the future.

He is the boss. His assistants are a reflection of his culture. I am willing to be patient but this individual incident was very concerning. Roll Tide forever.

Was the fake injury lay down that resulted in a penalty. That was Lane Kiffin shite and so weak. Embarrassing.....
re: Deboer will be here three years minimum. Maybe some fans should switch teams

Stop it with this shite. Every coach of a team not named Georgia Or Ohio State would suck a hobos dick to trade rosters with Alabama. That incudes Kalen Deboer's Washington team in 2023.
This staff is massively underachieving with this roster.

Its the the new normal. Get used to it. Next year there will be an injured reserve list and inter-semester transfers as this sport moves at light speed toward professional football.
He sure took that playful jab personal. Broke his arse.
That was a gutless last series on defense. Pathetic.

Anybody else besides me think that not having to worry about fielding snaps is helping a lot? Think we have only had one bad one so far this year that I can recall. What a fricking disaster that was last year.
Haven't watched many other games, but how is the former center who shall remain nameless snapping at Ohio St?

Run the fricking ball.
The sound bytes that will come out of this shite show are going to be legendary.

Both these guys are total disasters. Trump speaks clearly which makes him look like the winner. We all lose with either of these old stiffs in office.
The democrats now know what they have to do so there will be a replacement for Joe. Might as well put Corso up there on stage. Could not be worse than Biden.

I see you have pussed out on your ban bet.

I keep hearing these types of numbers thrown around but I’m skeptical, especially on unproven HS kids (yes I know Downs is proven). They’re handing 18-19 year olds $2MM to play college football? Is it a lump sum? Is it paid in monthly paychecks? Is it direct deposit from the NIL group or a booster? Is it contingent on them playing a certain amount of years, making certain numbers like tackles, INTs, other stats? How do the other players feel who are getting only, say, $10 grand a month? I can’t wrap my head around it
I have asked this same question a half dozen times. Nobody knows, and if they do, they ain't telling, which means it violates a rule or a law. Most likely reportable income, which I wish was the case. This needs to be reported and taxable income.
