would it be an assistant coach on the team now, or would LSU hire somebody, perhaps from the NFL, like Shula at Alabama in 2003?

Who is the assistant head coach at LSU?

Why would the 2019 National Champion Coach be fired before this season?

whatever, but actually, with all the heat coming down around LSU right now it's a possibility and I am curious who would be the coach if it was vacated before the season. I mean, Les Miles was fired from his current job because of the fallout at LSU, and the ex LSU president was fired from his current job. Orgeron was the head coach during a lot of this. From sweeping a lot of
this under the rug, to advising the boyfriend of the girl who was raped that "everybody's girlfriend sleeps around", to trying to placate the 74 year old lady with an apology, then denying he talked to her, to posing for a picture in bed with some random floozy, to an ncaa investigation, to a fbi investigation...just so much going on. I wouldn't be at all surprised it if happens, and am honestly curious who would coach the team if it were to happen. I'm a Bammer, and I remember the Price fiasco and how it left UA without a coach about the same time of year. It happens.

I have read enough of the LSU board to know you're not taken seriously even there.

Though the ncaa has been investigating for a year or two, they apparently kind of stepped out for a while when the fbi investigation started. Now the internal investigation by a firm that LSU hired has even found some disturbing things on its own. Sounds kind of like Orgeron is being set up to be fired with cause. The ncaa and fbi will probably find much more. This is starting to get really ugly and is in no way soon to be over. It'll probably get worse before it gets better.

2019 NC has nothing to do with it. It is time for LSU to face the pile of shite in their front yard that is getting larger by the day, because it isn’t going to go away.

Wade should have been sacrificed long ago. The FBI tapes are a stain that will taint him and his program forever... AND taint the school.

If Ogeron did cover up rape and harassment issues, which seems ever more likely, it is time to bite the bullet and cut the LSU civil war short. With the strength of the roster in place, LSU should find a clean replacement quickly and unify the fan base.

Ogeron has that felon Pomansky and his 100 bots on here conducting a deflection canpaign blaming others for everything, especially targeting Woodward. Yet his personal history of actions toward women, his ”all girl friends sleep around” comment, the report from the 74 year old, AND OTHERS, directly tie him to an attitude that must change.

LSU will not only survive a house cleaning, it will probably emerge stronger. The actions reported illustrate the main difference with Saban’s team... individual self discipline and accountability. Getting rid of this head butting embarrassment from another era for cause, and his felonious sidekick, could be quite an upgrade.

Well that's certainly a convincing counter-point. I can't understand why you're mocked on your own board.

shite if he lied to thr firm investigating whether or not LSU was covering up sexual misconduct, he should be fired. That's ridiculous. How can you cover up sexual misconduct to the firm investigating you for sexual misconduct and keep your job?

right. It's probably not going to happen, but considering it all, it could. In the unlikely event it did, who do you suppose would be the coach for this year? Somebody on the current staff, or maybe a NFL coach come in and keep this same staff, or what?

Like I said before, it's happened at Alabama and considering UA was decimated with sanctions impacting the number of scholarship players, Shula actually did better than I suspected he would.

that might would actually be a decent choice. My guess is that if Orgeron was fired LSU would go after Napier, but he probably wouldn't come till the end of the season.

Honestly, I have no clue. Maybe Corey Raymond. I wouldn't imagine that it would be one of the new coaches. Perhaps Ensminger or John Robinson from the analyst staff. It would be a very interesting situation. I doubt that they would bring in anyone new.
