LSU will win another championship within 4 years of hiring his replacement based on history.

Only if the history is limited to as far back as the 2 coaches since Saban's tenure at LSU.

If you go back to the 1950s, which was the last time before Saban that LSU won a national title, there were 8 coaches that didn't win a title.

My guess is it doesn’t matter, I don’t think O was doing much of scheming or game planning anyways. Team might have a better season without him on the sidelines.

That would be interesting but a huge gamble. I'd think Napier would get the first call but doubt he'd leave his team at this point in the preseason. I did say that it is unlikely to happen anyway.

Some of the administrators and boosters might agree with you, and it would alleviate some of the fallout.

Doesn't like recruiting and has been on short lists to be a head coach in the NFL. He isn't coming back to college any time soon.

In the (previously noted) unlikely event it were to happen, I think your earlier suggestion of Ensminger would be most likely.

edit: for this coming season I mean. They they'd go for Napier, who may very well be a better coach. But does he have a binder.

He will once he gets a reality check on the lack of control that a Hc has in the pros. They’re just puppets that play second fiddle to owners GMs and star players.
