I have doubts about Coach O...but it's not like folks have broken doors down to get to Les, have they?

Unfortunately, LSU's problems are far worse than who's on the sidelines...namely, who's the A.D. and who's the University President.

Saban and Mark Emmert were successful because they bypassed the good ole boy network and did what they knew would work. LSU has let that mentality take hold again and it will always hold them back until they learn from what Emmert and Saban did.

I can't blame LSU too much for wanting to move on from Miles it's just the way it was handled that was awful.

San Diego State promoted Rocky Long to HC in his early 60's. Seems to be doing well for them.

Best quote in there

quote:

we traded a "good" (good to shitty programs like MSU who would kill for 8 win seasons) head coach and the worst offensive coordinator in the country for an unproven head coach with a top tier OC.

Yes, it was awful and tragic in my opinion. I don't know all his faults but I do know he was a bona fide winner. His W/L record at LSU was .770%. I don't know any other with those credentials to be discharged middle season ... do you?

Yep, Saban mind fricked Miles, he never had that Mad Hater fight after 1/9/12
Very unfortunate that Miles had to beat Bama twice to win another championship.
No way he was going to get that lucky.

Well as LSU is still paying him a kings ransom how much effort do you really think he has put into it?

I would play golf and drink beer while sabotaging every job offer until the right one came up were I him as would 99.9% of the population.

So I was wrong. Sue me.

Although most of us didn't agree with the hire, a lot of us tried to give our new head coach a chance. We were wishfully thinking he would do well. Looking back, although we may have been grasping at straws, we had reason to believe he would.

Leading up to the season, Coach O seemingly did all the right things. He had a winning record as an interim head coach. He salvaged a top-10 recruiting class before his first season. He hired two seemingly competent coordinators. We looked decent in our first two games. We had reason to be confident. We almost annually beat Mississippi State.

Then we got our brains beaten out of us on Saturday. Congratulations to State. You guys have a good team.

LSU needs a house cleaning in its athletic department, starting with the top.

Never forget Miss St. You have lost 16 of the last 17 to LSU. Now go back to the kids table, and leave the adults alone.
